Hilarious Claude Superbowl ads
Have you seen these hilarious ads from Claude that takes the piss outta Chatgpt and their plans to roll out ads inside your chat. There's a whole series of them if you want a good laugh, this one I thought was perfect for this community 🤣

@Magda Zielonka yeah wow! 5.1 wasn't as good as 4o for me, but 5.2 is just something else. I think claude might be my new best friend sooner than I thought

@Magda Zielonka yeah good plan! I'm surprised you get better images in chatgpt than nano banana though 🤔 that's not always my experience. I just came across this on YT and thought that it connected to what we were talking about earlier: https://youtube.com/shorts/M1qg95wa-q0?si=hUTIeuwcVR3FHInQ

Selling the potential... How would you deal with this?
I have a question about selling Lovable prototypes/projects (not templates or whitelable but the whole thing) that I've created for someone else to own as an asset... I know that people often develop apps or software with the intention to sell... But in those cases they've gotten the product up and running first, have some sales data and then sell the product for someone else to run it from then onwards. So there's something tangible to valuate the asset off. I'm wanting to do that with these Lovable based products that I've created, but with the difference being that I've mostly just got prototypes developed that I've used myself or demonstrated how it would work as a whitelable template when complete. And while I have pre-sold some, I don't have a lot of sales data to build the case that it's worth something to buy. Even though I know in the right hands it'll go off. So my Q, if anyone has any insight around this is: how would I value these products - especially if they're a prototype (only I've used the app) or it's a 90% complete concept? Note: I've parked the projects indefinitely, so I'm not interested in completing the projects or pre-sell them to get the sales data for product valuation. Edited to add: thanks for the feedback so far, I'm not looking for market validation (I already have that) I'm looking for for market valuation of a micro-SaaS or app type product. This is a business asset not a product I want to sell to my audience.

@Dr. Ericka Pitman I've already done that, and I'm not looking to sell the product itself to people anymore. I want to sell the existing project('s) as a business asset for the right person to turn around and sell to their audience.

@Brenda Rigney thank you! You get it! I have a potential buyer I'm talking to right now, she bought one of the things and I refunded her because I was like ahhhh yeah sorry I can't do this anymore. And then she asked if I'd be open to selling it to her to complete it because she really believed in it! I ended up figuring out a price and we're just working on the paperwork to formalise. I'll share what I can about this process when there's something definite and locked in.

TLDR; It's okay to create something that just makes YOUR life easier. I couldn't find a dictation app that worked with a true verbal processor, so I created one, and I am feeling myself today, friends. This little app rivals my beloved Dragon (it got me through Grad School!!). In fact, I call it BabyDragon. Shhhh. 🫣 Don't tell Nuance. I've co-created over 30 apps to solve my real-world problems, and invariably I am asked: "What was the prompt?" The answer is always, "There was no prompt. I created a spec." From bookmarklets and browser extensions to my beloved (and mature) SunsamaAsanaTrelloAirtableNotionCalm alternative app I dubbed Exhale, I've co-created (with Claude Code) apps I can maintain, support (should I decide to distribute them), and even market (because of course I created a suite of documentation - via an exacting prompt - from a final technical spec to DM responses)! #somuchwinning Am I a programmer? No, and my programmer / data engineer hubby is... not feeling the "AI thing," but acknowledges that may be why he still can't find a job almost 10 months after being laid off. Does he help me? Not really, and I am okay with that. I imagine he is feeling the same way my lifelong mechanic grandpa felt when computers arrived in automobiles. That said, I do have a s/w development background (over 25 years ago) that I left (to become an "Accidental Instructional Designer" and Adult Educator) after returning from a *cough* six year *cough* maternity leave. I am NOT SAHM material, friends. 🙃 Also, I just think / operate in "systems." It's a gift. It's a curse. 😇 Depends on who in my life you ask. Anyhoot, I just wanted to share a huge win and milestone and tell you to keep going. There is nothing wrong with using AI to make your life easier without immediately (or ever) selling the end product. Have fun and don't forget to breathe. 😘

OK I love this for so many reasons. But what landed for me the most is that I'm allowed to vibe-code just for me and I don't have to sell the thing to other people or even educate them on how to do it themselves 👀 I'm in talks to sell a bunch of assets I've built that absolutely need to see the light of day and for someone else to continue with my vision. But as I go forward I'm sure I'll want to keep creating and I guess I know now that I can either sell the prototype to someone else or it can be just for me. I'm allowed to create just for me and no one else. Huh... Who would have thought 🤔🙈🤣
Lovable Vibes 💖
Checked my Lovable account this morning to see the Lovable version of 'Spotify Wrapped' and I was surprised to see my stats. No so much the amount of messages or lines of code I'd generated, but the total app views. I guess it makes sense because I used Lovable to host my summit series Jul-Sep, but still I was surprised and proud of what I've created so far! If you use Lovable, what's your 'Vibe'?
