DaVinci Resolve vs. CapCut: Which One Do You Use? 🎬
DaVinci Resolve has a steeper learning curve than CapCut—but it’s free, powerful, and gives you plenty of room to grow. That’s why I use it and recommend it throughout the Academy, especially if you have a desktop computer. For my AI videos, I’m usually combining multiple clips, matching colors between generations, adjusting speed, layering audio, and exporting at the highest quality possible. DaVinci gives me the control I need without requiring a subscription for the core workflow. That said, CapCut is easier to learn and great for quick edits, especially on mobile. The best editor is ultimately the one that helps you finish your videos and publish consistently. 🎬 DaVinci Resolve ✂️ CapCut 🅿️ Premiere Pro 🛠️ Something else What are you currently using? @Tony Iverson That sounds like a solid workflow. What types of videos are you usually creating with that setup? I’d be interested to see what you’re working on. 👀

“How can I generate AI videos for free?”
Hey @Zeel Parmar! You can start with the free tutorials in the Academy, including the Abandoned Car, Storybook Cottage, and Hidden Bunker projects. Open the Start Here section and choose one to follow step by step. The Academy tutorials are free to access, but the third-party AI tools used to generate images and animations may require credits or a paid plan. Some tools occasionally offer limited free credits, trials, or promotions, but completely free video generation is usually limited. I recommend checking the tool and cost guidance inside the lesson before starting so you know what will be required. 👍
Welcome, @Tammy Aguilar! I appreciate you introducing yourself. What would make joining the Academy feel like a win for you over the next 30 days? 🚀
LIFE OUTSIDE OF AI 🎬
We spend plenty of time talking about videos and creative tools, but what else are you into? Drop one hobby or interest that most people here probably don’t know about you 👇
LIFE OUTSIDE OF AI 🎬
That’s a great combination, @Junaid Qureshi. Business and creativity go hand in hand! What’s one idea or project you’re excited about right now? 💡
@Junaid Qureshi That’s a great goal and definitely something the Academy can help you work toward! For this post, though, I was curious about life completely outside of AI and content creation. 😄 Any hobbies, sports, music, travel, or other interests you enjoy when you’re away from the screen?
