If nothing was “in the way,” what would you stop/start doing first?
Imagine the friction is gone. Money works. Work is stable. Location is flexible. No permission needed. All these hurdles you came up with - GONE! What would life look like for you? - What YOU want to do (Work) - Where YOU want to live (Physical Location) - Who YOU want to be/become (Self) - Who YOU want to hang with. (Others) ________________________________________________________________________________ To make it easy to answer, pick one lens and respond from experience or instinct: - Place: Would there be one home base, two, or none at all? - Work: What would stop being necessary? What would stay non-negotiable? - People: Who would be closer? Who would matter less? - Time: What would a typical week finally include or exclude? - Identity: What label or role would quietly fall away?
I'm on my way!
Here's a little post that I shared marking my milestone. The point is my goal is to actually fire my job and work for myself from anywhere. Groups like this help me in learning what's possible. I want to thank you! For giving me the vision. Here is the post that I made and wanted to included you on the great news!... 🎉 We Just Hit 20 Members Thank YOU for the Momentum! I wanted to take a moment to share something big: We officially crossed 20 members in this community! That may sound small to the gurus… but for anyone building a real Skool group from the ground up, you know this is the moment where things shift from “idea” → actual momentum. And that’s because of YOU. Over the last few days, so many of you shared: Screenshots of your setups Lessons learned from your own communities What’s worked (and what face-planted 🫣) Tips, encouragement, and real transparency You’ve given me a front-row masterclass in how to build a Skool group that actually grows, engages, and sticks and I’m genuinely grateful. This early community energy is exactly what keeps a group alive. So thank you: For joining, for sharing, for giving me ideas, and for helping shape what this place will become. We’re just getting started… and the first 20 are always the ones who later get to say: “Yeah, I was here before it blew up.” Let’s keep building confidently, creatively, and together. 🙌

⚖️ ⚖️ ⚖️ What's your Balance: ⚡Portability & ⚓ Stability
@Frances Gertsch @Lary Neron Thanks for sharing, I'm curious: how has your sense of space impacted your balance and growth? How does your space shape you and your work? How have you discovered living a portable life while also ensuring you have the anchor from which to evolve? Everyone’s anchors and balance are deeply personal and circumstantial. Mine seems to be space, an essential container for development and integration, shifting depending on the phase I’m in. I’m curious: what does balance between stability and mobility look like for you?

Yes. It resonates. Eight years into living this way, the balance has shifted many times. It feels personal and seasonal. Space and Stability land for you. Environment and Anchors land for me. Environment feels portable. It’s something that can be rebuilt in any space. Anchors feel structural. Mine are: - Self - Work - Others (Community, firends) - Location (where i live physically) If one or two of these stay steady, the rest can move without throwing life off balance.

@Virginia Leigh For me: The environment is a Closed office with light where I cannot be distracted by seeing outside, and it is temperature-controlled for sustained focus and productivity. For anchor, as long as 2 are aligned, i'm good :)
What was the first small change that made your life more portable?
Let's share some of the steps you have taken or experimented with to make your work more portable. Think back to one action you took in the past that increased freedom. Examples: set up a virtual mailbox, moved to laptop-only, tested a one-month sublet, automated key bills, negotiated one remote day per week, or sold a car. Share your action Below 👇👇👇

@Justin Kreger Love it! I'm with you... all my belonging fit in a 23kg suitcase, so a form of forced minimalist. Also a big fan of buying the same article in all the colors 🤣

@Virginia Leigh That definitely open up options in terms of portability and being able to control revenues for a more sovereign life. What is the consultancy about? For whom?
What does "retirement" mean to you?
There’s the version society pictured for us and the one many families modeled. I know I was modelled the: Keep a union job for 35-40 years because the carrot at the end of the stick was a pension, so we can retire at 65 and finally, do all the cool things you've been dreaming about for all these years. Will you repeat that script, design your own retirement OR just never retire at all? What does your version look like?

@Naheed Chowdhry I think we’ll all have many opportunities to do things on our own terms - what a Great advantage.
