Thanks @Viktor Tanaskovski Looking forward to seeing you guys in the class. A great opportunity for those who attended last week's classes to clarify on the topics of Modes and 7th chords and anything else that comes to mind. Don't be shy! Every question is a new chance to learn! There is NO such thing as "dumb" questions. The only "dumb" question is the one you DON'T ask. ๐Ÿ˜Š Come prepared with your questions, we're here for you!

UNLOCKING
Why is it that every time I hear, see, or watch something that โ€œunlocksโ€ the fret board, I end up more confused and angry? What are we, or me actually, supposed to know or understand? Could it be that Iโ€™m really missing something key because I have never been good at just straight memorization? I love the guitar but it is also one of the most frustrating things Iโ€™ve ever done. So many days, Iโ€™m so stuck with what to do or where Iโ€™m going that I end up doing nothing.

@Dan Nelson no worries at all. If that's the way you feel that's 100% legit. We all learn in different ways and sometimes those words are just a sales pitch. Take it slowly and learn at your own pace and that't totally cool! Keep up the good work buddy and feel free to ask questions anytime! ๐Ÿ™‚

@Dan Nelson that's great! Your ear is always going to be the final judge. If it sounds good....it's correct! This is the same with chords, scales and anything else you're working on. Same with picking, there are probably as many techniques with picking as guitarists on the planet...LOL. If whatever you are studying works well for you...that's the right way. If it doesn't then we have to find another way but......if it's not broken....don't fix it. ๐Ÿ˜œ Btw, another great thing is to record your practice, like a quick video with your phone, then you can go back to it with a different perspective.
unmotivated
has anybody had the feeling where you're motivated to play or practice guitar for one or two days and the other days you should play or practice you don't feel motivated to pick it up instead you just wanna go online and watch youtube i'm feeling that way right now and can't break that habit

@Ethan Rowland stepping away from the guitar for a couple of days can actually do good, especially if you've been playing for a while. It's kind of like resetting your brain ๐Ÿ˜‰. For me when I go back to practicing I feel I'm playing better. Just don't let the break last too long. Listen to music, maybe something you've never heard before, find new music or check out some instructional videos that will get you motivated to pick up the guitar again. You can also study some theory that doesn't involve playing the instrument but will keep you in contact with music in general. Hope this helps and thanks for sharing! ๐Ÿ‘
