Picture 1 (noticeably less sharp) I edited on my own. Picture 2 uses a Coreycha “LA” preset (fitting), but I edited it a little since no preset works immediately out of the box. I’ve never trained my eye for photography or editing before, so which one do you think actually looks better?

How close is this to the MOA style of IG photos? What would you improve about it? And would you post this on IG?

Should I go for the full body shot or th close up? I have my preference, but a female friend is pushing the other, but she's a 47 year old stay-at-home mom who fancies herself an amateur photographer. My 14 year old daughter, who is a talented young artist and is experimenting with photography, took one, and this friend took the other. So I'll put it to the group, close up or long shot.

In all of the IG examples, I don’t see anyone wearing sunglasses (and if they did, it was a rare exception). I’m assuming there’s some unwritten rule like “don’t wear sunglasses cuz it’s better to show your eyes in a photo”? Only bringing this up cuz I have a pair of sunglasses that EVERYONE (guys and girls) in person comments on (“I love your sunglasses / where did you get those / etc”). So at first I was thinking it might be good to have a photo or two of me wearing them, seeing as the amount of compliments I get on them far exceed any other compliment I get. Should I?

Does anyone have any example messages of what to actually say during the cold outreach DM to the event? I’ll be doing my first batch of DMs to my hotlist to my friends DJ set in Hollywood, and I really don’t want to screw up the messaging
