"Homework" / Elevator pitch :)
Hi all! I'd love some feedback as I work on my homework! :) I am an NCS and Postpartum doula. My clients are usually first (or second time) moms who are feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and very uncertain, constantly wondering if what their newborn does or how their newborn looks is "normal", most of them are constantly CHATGPTing/Googling or trying to find answers online at any given time, usually at night time when their brain cannot rest: Here's my homework :) THREE EXTRACTION QUESTIONS: 1. What worries you the most about caring for your newborn right now? 2. What moments with your newborn make you feel the most unsure of yourself as a mom? (for example: night time routines or night time wakings, feeding, diaper changes, bathing, etc) 3. If you had the right support during the newborn stage, how would you want to feel as a mom? / If you could wake up tomorrow feeling completely rested, what is the one thing you’d be most excited to do with your baby that feels difficult or draining right now? ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS: -When you find yourself searching for answers at 3:00 AM, what is the one recurring worry that keeps you from feeling like you 'have this'? -If you could wake up tomorrow feeling completely rested, what is the one thing you’d be most excited to do with your baby that feels difficult or draining right now? -In those moments where you feel uncertain, would it be more helpful for me to step in and handle it so you can rest, or for us to do it together so you can see my techniques in real-time? (Helps me figure out if they need daytime support or overnight support). Pilars: EVIDENCE-BASED EDUCATION JUDGEMENT FREE SUPPORT EMPOWERMENT CALM, STEADY PRESENCE/REASSURANCE Fun name: The Search-to-Sure method. Sentence: I help uncertain new moms trade the '3:00 AM Google spiral' for evidence-based confidence using my Search-to-Sure method, providing the steady expertise and restorative rest they need to feel calm, capable, and deeply connected to their baby.

@Lisa Vee Thank you so much, Lisa!! I so appreciate the feedback!!!!!!
What support are you missing?
Hi everyone! I’m working with a developer right now to create a platform that would essentially be Doulamatch + Doulado, so CMS + marketplace for parents to be matched with doulas, all under one roof. I’m curious to see what platforms y'all currently use (Honeybook, Doulado, DoulaMatch, Bornbir, etc) and what is working for you within those systems and what is lacking. Thank you SO much for indulging me ❣️✨

I used to love DoulaMatch because I actually got inquiries, now I don't. Bornbr I cannot stand it. I do not pay for it because I don't see the value and am not willing to pay just so I can send a message. —Doulado, I love it! Very affordable, yet, very comprehensive AND user friendly.

Connected through a FB group post, talked a bit about what she was looking for, and I sent her a voice note describing some surface doula support points. I’d love to transfer this to a call, but I don’t want it to come across that I’m trying to avoid the investment. And I don’t want to get ghosted. Help please

That's a good question! When I connected with @Lisa Vee she told me she wanted to do a call and I said I didn't want to invest 2K in coaching right now😂 (definitely likely an objection you'll face) and what she did was 1. Validated my concerns ("That is totally fair, I totally get it..." that sort of thing) 2. VERYYY briefly told me a bit about her offer "Getting my clients results. Membership based. Under $200/month" (not literally word by word how she said it, but, the general idea) and then explain that she wanted the call to be able to better understand mr and what I wanted, etc. I would go along those same lines maybe? Ask her if she'd like to jump on a call and depending on her objection, go from there but first just say you like to get to know the people you'll potentially work with and let them get to know you too :) Good luck!
Introduction :)
Hi all! Not sure if this is where I'm supposed to do this or no, but, I'm Angela :) I'm 31, happily married and with a 5 year old daughter who is my life and the reason for everything. I am a birth and postpartum doula as well as a Newborn Care Specialist. My passion lies mostly with newborn care and I feel like that's where I truly shine the most although I ABSOLUTELY love the entire perinatal period altogether!! I am currently making around 5K/month, coming mostly from working with families an agency matches me with. My goal is to start having a lot more private clients, building that clientele, while also working on building something with more flexibility so that I can see income regardless of feeling 100% well physically or not, traveling or not, etc. My "ultimate" (at the moment) goal is to generate 15K so that the we are finally more of a team in our marriage (financially speaking,) and to allow us to comfortably have fun dates and getaways as a couple and awesome trips with our daughter as well as of course :) This is all obviously hand in hand with the fact that I want to make more impact, support more families and TRULY connect with the people who need/want what I have to offer. I currently live in Western Mass but relocating in May to Northern Colorado and struggling a little bit with the thought of "maybe" not having such consistent income at first + positioning myself there. Also struggling with lack of balance as my work is 100% in person and if I don't work for whatever reason (sickness, travel, whatever) then I just don't perceive income and that's really hard. Excited to be here with you all :)
