Sharing some recents wins
I don't have any question here but want to share, because it feels like a huge win for me but nobody in my life understands - the other day, I made two huge milestones. 1. After researching and learning about RAG methodologies and strategies for weeks, I finally got a RAG ingestion workflow working that seems like it's going to work for my use-case and yield really good, accurate results. I have a lot to add to it yet to further automate, but determining how to chunk it out and what tools to use, and actually understanding a bit of the "why" behind all of these choices, was a milestone for me. I haven't officially starting my testing yet but already it's accuracy is looking SO much better. (For the curious - I'm manually breaking up the chunks semantically, I'm using an LLM to enrich each chunk with metadata/tags/chunk summaries/example questions, and I switched to openai embeddings which apparently are better with semantic search). I also setup the metadata in a way that will make it easier to translate into a postgresql table if I decide I need hybrid search in the future to further increase accuracy, which learning about postgres in and of itself was a large endeavor. 2. I got one of my agent workflows setup with hybrid text/image RAG! I had to tag my RAG docs to look for the images and make the metadata flag it, then I had to set up a firebase storage, and I'm just so damn pleased that it all actually worked. When my chat test came back with the images along with the answer, I straight up giggled. For some people here, these might seem like pedestrian or super easy, afternoon type projects. For other people here, this might seem almost like another language still. I hope by sharing that I inspire someone else to keep going! I love reading posts like these myself (thanks for always posting @Didac Fernandez !) so I thought I'd try and share too.
Orchestrators - n8n, cassidy, make.com, zapier, etc.. Tell us your observations and experiences with the ones you've used! The good, the bad, the ugly.
My general thoughts: Cassidy: - Pros: The built-in plugins/tools are growing quickly and are neat, it's also truly no-code. I also appreciate how easy it is to see how many tokens a workflow is using - Cons: Feels anecdotally quite expensive to run complex multi-step workflows n8n: - Pros: With the code modules, the extensibility feels nearly unlimited. I also like the layout and the way you attach tools to the AI Agents. Additionally, Claude does a good job providing guidance with n8n - Cons: Everything I've built in n8n runs SO SLOW and I've very concerned about the scalability of things. I want to build a subscription service with a chat interface but I'm very concerned that n8n won't be able to handle hundreds of customers using the chat that is powered by an n8n workflow - Pro/con: Tons of people on socials and tons of user templates to build from, but there is like zero quality oversight and I've wasted a lot of time with other people's stuff, but it's helped me learn as well .. make.com: - Pro: So easy to create workflows. Probably the easiest of all of them that I've used - Con: Less robust AI Agent builder, but growing constantly - Caveat - I haven't used make.com for like 8 months so my intel is likely out of date Zapier: - Pros: One of the few with established Enterprise trust and relationships - important for consultants wanting to sell services to Enterprise companies. Can build pretty much anything in Zapier, and they are one of the first that other companies build plugins and integrations for - Cons: Costly, and your functionality is very limited unless you're on a robust Team type plan - it's pricing models are definitely designed for Enterprise teams to use, not solo-practioners

@Didac Fernandez That is great to know, thanks! I'm not a tech person by trade so self-hosting has seemed intimidating (and I assumed costly?) to me but I'll look more into that before I launch beta.

@Didac Fernandez Welp with the new pricing strategy for n8n, I think I'll have to revisit this..
Real Cost of Claude Code
Hi All, just wanted to share this screenshot of my current usage of Claude Code. As you can see I was not lying about how much I would've had to pay in API cost if I didn't have the monthly subscription. I would say that those 200$ are worth it, right? 🤑
