I see it a bit differently. To me, financial independence is when your income streams cover all your essential expenses. Financial freedom is when those income streams cover all your expenses — including some fun. When your income goes beyond that and you can reinvest the extra, that’s when you’re truly on the path to building wealth. And I believe we should keep a little fun in the mix along the way — otherwise, what’s the point? 🙂 But really, that’s just another version of the path we’re all building here together.
