What are you up to this weekend?

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it actually looks like to build a life and business without burning out. Not the highlight reel version. The real version. The one where some seasons are for growth… And some are for living more. Right now, I’m in a build and refine season. I’m tightening up my systems. Getting Amazon and Skool to a place where they can run with more ease. Because I know what’s coming next. This summer, I’m designing a slower 12-week year. One focused project. Less noise and more depth. I’ll be building something new… an experiment where I document in real time how I create mini courses, track progress, and turn what I’ve already built into something even more powerful. It’s very “build with me.” Messy, honest, and real. I'm posting this becuase I want you to see that I’m always thinking a few steps ahead. Not in a rushed way. But in a grounded and intentional way. How can what I build now support the life I want next? More time in the mountains. More space with my family. More calm inside the work itself. That’s the goal. it’s because we’ve been up in the Colorado mountains looking at land 🤍 This isn’t just a trip. It’s the early stages of our next phase of life as empty nesters. We stayed in the sweetest little cabin in the woods, spent a lot of time off our devices, and had space to think about what we actually want next. And something really clicked for me. Every big shift in our life has started this same way. We lived overseas. We landed roles at the best schools in the world. We built a thriving Airbnb that we will now sell for this next phase, college payoff and land! We house hacked our way into more freedom. None of those happened all at once or quickly! They started with time, space, and a willingness to explore and ask questions before we had it all figured out. And this feels like that again. Tomorrow we head even deeper into the backcountry with our adult kids for a couple of nights, which feels really special. This is what building income without burnout looks like for me right now.
