Welcome!
What if your animal companion’s behaviour isn’t something to fix — but something to understand?
We often notice the obvious things first. One companion seems to need constant connection. Another needs space. One embraces every new experience with enthusiasm, while another needs time to observe before deciding whether something feels safe. Some seem incredibly sensitive to changes in their environment. Others appear to take almost everything in stride. But why? One of the lenses I use in Moving Beyond Words comes from the Five Elemental Archetypes — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Each reflects different tendencies, strengths, sensitivities and needs. And here’s where it gets especially interesting… You have an Elemental nature too. So understanding your companion is only part of the picture. When we begin looking at both sides of the relationship, we can start noticing where our natural tendencies complement each other — and where they may sometimes create misunderstanding or tension. You may already have an idea which Element sounds like your companion. Or you may be completely surprised. 😊 I’ve added a resource in the classroom where you can explore the Elemental Archetypes, learn a little more about this approach, and then — when you’re curious enough — discover both your Element and your companion’s through the Guardian and Companion quizzes. Because the quiz isn't really the destination. It's a starting point for looking at your relationship through a different lens. 👉 Explore the Elemental Archetypes and discover your starting point here: Take the Elemental Quiz 🐾 - Take the Elemental Companion QUIZ! · Moving Beyond Words And when you do take the quizzes, come back and tell us:

📖 Moving Beyond Words Monday???
I had a thought today... Yes, it's been that kind of day.... After the conversations we've been having and thinking about content... I thought... Maybe I should read my own book! 😉 I know that sounds funny, but since Moving Beyond Words – Our Shared Journey was published, I've been so busy building this community, creating new programs and continuing to explore the relationships we share with our animals that I haven't really gone back and read it simply as a reader. So I'm going to. And I thought I'd invite you along. Each Monday, I'll share something from Moving Beyond Words — perhaps a passage, a story, a question, or even something I wrote that makes me stop and think differently now. Because our relationships aren't static. We continue to learn. We notice new things. And sometimes we can return to something familiar and discover something completely different. So welcome to Moving Beyond Words Monday. If you want to join along, you can access either the physical book on amazon ... here is the link Moving Beyond Words - Our Shared Journey - Moving Beyond Words - The Book · Moving Beyond Words, Or you can access the digital copy and the workbook for $9 here> Moving Beyond Words - Digital Copy - MBW Digital Book File and Companion Workbook · Moving Beyond Words Let's see where the journey takes us.

I’ve also come to a similar realization this past week. I could barely get myself to do the bare minimums in my business. When I was doing them, I enjoyed it. Getting started was tough. Then I realized I have been working on my audience, niche and message for over a year. The last 5 months I’ve spent fine tuning, getting my information clear and building the foundation of my community. As I took the step back from all but the minimum, and enjoyed living my life, I realized the foundation is done! I can now enjoy building my business. And this: The business can have a place in my life instead of my life having to take place around the business.

🐾 Sunday Family Companion Funday + Event Reminder
It’s Sunday — so let’s keep things a little lighter today. 💕 Our animal companions have their own funny little habits, favourite things and ways of making themselves part of the family. We've talked about how we like to spend time together... Now, what is one thing your companion absolutely LOVES doing with you? Maybe it’s a walk, curling up together, going for a drive, playing a favourite game, supervising everything you do... or simply being wherever you are. 😊 Tell us about it below — and pictures are always welcome! 🐾📸 And while we’re talking about the ones we care for... 💗 A little reminder for the caregivers, too. This Tuesday, September 29 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific, we’re gathering for Caring for the Caregiver — an hour to step out of the caregiver role for a little while and give some care back to ourselves. We’ll slow things down, breathe, ground, release some of what we’ve been carrying and simply spend a little time being supported ourselves. If you haven’t already, visit the event and add it to your calendar so you don’t miss it. Because sometimes the person at the other end of the leash, food bowl, medication schedule or cuddle needs a little caring for, too. 💗

Another Beautiful Win for the Animals! ❤️🐾
Today I want to share a post I found in another community... It is truly another good day for animal news! NBCUniversal Local has announced the results of its 2026 Clear The Shelters campaign, and more than 135,000 shelter animals found homes during the months of July and August! More than 1,200 shelters and rescues participated across 47 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and Guam, with over 100 NBC and Telemundo stations helping spread the word.
