What Are You Carrying?
This week, I want to invite you into a gentler kind of reflection. Not the kind where you judge yourself for what you have not done. Not the kind where you make another list of things to fix. Not the kind where you turn your own growth into another performance. Just one simple, honest question: What are you carrying right now that feels heavier than it should? ✔️ It might be a responsibility. ✔️ An expectation. ✔️ A version of yourself you are trying to keep alive. ✔️ A decision you are afraid to make. ✔️ A relationship pattern. ✔️ A belief about who you are supposed to be. Sometimes we do not realize how much we are carrying until we have a place to set it down for a moment. If you’re willing, complete this sentence: One thing I am ready to stop carrying alone is….. Share as much or as little as feels right. This is a space for honesty, support, and encouragement—not judgment. You do not have to have it all figured out here.

One thing I am ready to stop carrying alone is the pressure to believe I must always be the strong one. For so much of my life, I've carried the weight of health challenges, loss, responsibilities, and trying to hold everything together. I've learned that strength isn't pretending everything is okay—it's being honest when it's hard and accepting support when you need it. I'm still learning to let go of the belief that I have to figure everything out on my own. I want to make more room for peace, trust, and simply being present instead of constantly feeling like I have to carry the weight of tomorrow. That's the burden I'm ready to start letting go of.
Mid-Year Check-in
As I began applying some of the practices commonly used in my professional life to my personal goals, I noticed a shift in how I evaluate progress and success. Many of us work for organizations that operate as at-will employers, meaning either the employer or employee can end the employment relationship at any time, with or without notice, as long as the reason is lawful. When you join a new organization, there is often a 90-day introductory or probationary period designed to assess fit and performance. After that, most of us participate in annual performance reviews. We routinely accept performance reviews at work. We sit down with managers, review goals, discuss what’s working, identify areas for improvement, and adjust priorities for the months ahead. Yet many of us move through our personal lives without ever conducting the same review for ourselves. We keep pushing forward without stopping to ask: • Is this still what I want? • Am I making progress toward what matters most? • Am I still aligned with the life I want to create? What if we approached our personal lives with the same level of intentional reflection? Rather than waiting until the end of the year to evaluate our progress, the middle of the year provides an opportunity to pause, assess what is working, identify what is no longer serving us, and make adjustments before moving forward. A mid-year check-in is not about judging yourself. It is about creating awareness, celebrating progress, and ensuring that your goals still align with who you are and what matters most in this season of your life. 💜 Reflection Question: What’s one area of your life that could benefit from a mid-year check-in?

This really made me stop and think. If I gave myself a mid-year review, I'd say I've learned that progress isn't always measured by how much you accomplish, but by how much you've grown. This year has reminded me to be patient with myself, to celebrate the small victories, and to let go of the idea that everything has to be perfect. One area I want to keep working on is making sure I leave room to simply live—not just stay busy. Life moves so quickly, and I don't want to miss the moments that matter most because I'm always focused on what's next. Growth is important, but so is gratitude for how far we've already come. 💜
Make space for honesty today
Finish this sentence: The thing I have been avoiding admitting to myself is _______. It can be one word. It can be a full paragraph. It can be something you are still trying to understand. This is not about judging yourself. It is about telling the truth gently enough that you can finally hear it.

I told myself I was just busy, stressed, or taking a break, but the truth is I had drifted away from some of the habits that helped me feel my best. The good news is that one setback doesn't erase all the progress I've made. I don't need to start over—I simply need to keep showing up and getting back to the things that help me heal, one choice at a time.
It's Go Time
April is here—time to reset your focus and move with intention. What’s one thing you’re committing to over the next 90 days? 💜

I’m committing to showing up consistently—staying disciplined with my habits, growing my brand, and pouring into the people I’m meant to serve. No more hesitation, just aligned action. 💜

@Theodora Carter Yes, I do 💜 I kept it simple so I can stay consistent: • Daily: stay disciplined with my habits, nourish my body, and take time to check in with myself • Weekly: plan my meals, prep what I can, and reflect on what’s working• Focus: creating balance and continuing to grow mentally and physically, keeping it simple and doable so I can follow through. 💜
