The Value of the Live Zoom Workshop Group
I just finished my second group Zoom Workshop with Chad and here are my takeaways from having participated in 2 sessions. Submit Your Questions - On the call you are in the room with people who have had varied successful careers. Many times the answer to your question might come from another group member or through a life lesson that Chad already went through. The questions will also usually yield a nugget of info that you can take to go refine and build your brand. Read the Follow Up posts - usually the conversations in the workshop group will lead to posts that expand on those conversations. In my first one, there was one post asking for members to share their social media handles and others asking for feedback on ideas that people were working on. Having a safe place to share ideas on process and to workshop tactics is a valuable timesaver. Release the Fear of the Unknown - you joined the group because you identified a need to grow professionally. So try something different in order to get some new results. It’s Not About Who You Know - I have worked in Hollywood for 6 years and know many of the people who make feature films, episodic television and the streamer executives. But I never would never ask them questions about how to get my personal thing to pop because I was there to work, not network. Taking liberties like that would get me fired. Since joining this group of “outsiders”, I’ve become ‘unstuck’ and my creative faucet has been turned on again. I am thinking of other additional streams of incomes and how to effectively pursue them. For me, that is priceless. Thank you to all the workshop participants for coming with ideas and questions that help to move us all forward. And thank you @Chad Sanders For giving us this space.
