It's been quiet 👀 here's what's going on
Hey founders, real talk; Running a business with ADHD has it's challenges. Who knew?! But my ADHD isn't the reason I've gone quiet in here. It's actually because, since Rex and I split, I've needed to refocus my efforts on my main business: SEO for B2B SaaS. I've been doing SEO for nearly 14 years now. I've worked with companies like Monday, Oberlo, AppSumo, Ahrefs and, currently, Semrush. SEO was my second love (writing was my first). My runway for running the experiment of making this Skool community my full-time focus dried up a few months ago, and I've had to refocus on my main income earner. I've absolutely loved building this community - especially the defining moments, like celebrating getting the star and becoming a top 1% community with @Tommy Gan and @Izzy Piyale-Sheard. The past year has given me many moments to be really proud of. And many moments that made me want to rip my hair out. (Typical entrepreneurship!) Anyway, here's what that means for this community going forward: I'll commit to writing one post per week. No more, no less. I'd rather show up consistently with something real than try to run a full curriculum I can't sustain. You'll get my honest observations from the trenches of building a freelance SEO business with ADHD, including what's working, what's blowing up in my face, and what I'm learning about SEO in the age of AI. I'm also committed to being there for the Momentum Lab members. @Jen Ritchie @Alena Sladkovská @Emily Satel @Rachel Hasson @Stijn Van Den Bossche @Amber Kay. We've been meeting twice a week every week since this thing started, and they've done some cool shit. (Shout out to Jen for doing her 5-day challenge launch and hitting her MRR target! And to Emily for starting her private practice, to Rachel for launching her new offer and bringing in some new clients, to Amber for massively increasing her prices and finally bringing in a livable wage from her business.)

@Mike Hillman great to hear from you, Mike! Glad to hear you’re still going and have big plans coming. I definitely understand the challenge of Skool haha. Excited to be here and continue to grow this community 💪🏼

@Denielle Farrow did you finish it? How much was it? How’d it go? There are free or very cheap ways to create a funnel
How I get Sh*t done as an ADD entrepreneur
As some of you might know, I grew up with ADD, but only got diagnosed around age 21. That meant that during primary school and high school I struggled a lot with staying focused at school. But I didn't know why and I didn't know how to deal with the problem. I did okay in school, but it took a lot of effort, specifically for maths and science lessons. Today I am truly grateful for my ADD and the way my brain works, I have learned how to deal with it and how to optimise my day for maximum efficiency. I have 3 simple rules that I live by and that have helped my tremendously over the years to increase my productivity and enjoyment in everything I do. 𝟭) 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗻 I genuinely hate doing admin work. But it's what keeps you in business, so even if you hate it, it still needs to be done. So one day I asked myself "How can I make this more fun?". So I put on my headphones and started playing some of my favourite Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter soundtracks in the background. There something about putting on headphones that allow me to block out distractions instantly and those soft, epic and magical tunes in the background that sweep me into flow state. I now have an 18 hour long playlist with all kinds of cinematic music and music from artists like Ludovico Einaudi, etc. 𝟮) 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 This one speaks for itself and you might be thinking DUH. But you would be surprised at how often you get interrupted by random thoughts, other people, notifications, ... and how long it takes you to return to your flow state. Besides turning notifications off and letting people know that they can't disturb you, if for example you're wearing your headphones. One other cure for this is a concept that's called "Timeboxing". I've learned about timeboxing from Nir Eyal (writer of "Indistractable"). And it essentially says that you should do batch work as much as possible and at the right timing.

One and three work like a charm. Two is much easier said than done 😂

Requesting Survey help from my Fellow Founders
Hey Founders Guild friends. I am writing a book (well, because inspiration comes out of necessity right?) I have 2 surveys that I wrote and would love some feedback from you. I want to make sure the book isn't just my opinion and my stories. Click the words Survey One or Survey Two to reach the Google Survey. Survey One is for any medical personnel such as Doctors/Nurses/etc Survey Two is for non-medical persons who have a medical experience they want to share. Your insight could help someone else navigate the world of medicine that we live in through this book. Thanks in advance 🙏🥰
