🖍️ Coloring Book Ideas People Are Actually Searching For
Not sure what kind of coloring book to make? Start with the data. A lot of you have been loving the coloring book training, and I know many of you grabbed ColorBot Studio to make the actual creation process easier. But one question keeps coming up: “What kind of coloring book should I make?” “Which topics actually have an opportunity to sell?” So I did the research for you. 👀 I used Publisher Rocket to research coloring book keywords and looked specifically for topics that showed search demand with lower competition scores. From that research, I put together a list of: 🔥 50 Coloring Book Topics & Keywords With Sales Opportunity These aren’t just random coloring book ideas I brainstormed. They’re topics I actually researched to help you narrow down where there may be an opportunity in the market. And because I know keyword research can be one of the most overwhelming parts of publishing, I wanted to make this easy. 💗 PREMIUM members can now access the full list inside the community. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading, this is another resource waiting for you inside Premium. 👉 UPGRADE TO PREMIUM OR... ✨ You can grab the list separately right now for the launch price of only $15. If coloring books are something you want to publish, don’t just make what sounds cute. Start by looking at what people are actually searching for.

Yay! Thank you! Research is the most important but hardest part of publishing
5 Reasons I Use Publisher Rocket
I work in SEO professionally, so I know how important solid research is. When it comes to researching keywords, categories, and competitors for books, Publisher Rocket continues to be my preferred tool. Here are five reasons why: 𝟭. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆. Compared with some other research tools on the market, Publisher Rocket is fairly easy to understand and adapt to. You don’t need to be an SEO expert to start finding useful information. 𝟮. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. I purchased Publisher Rocket almost five years ago, and I’m still using that same tool today. I use it whenever I need to conduct keyword research for my own books or help members of this community research theirs. 𝟯. 𝗜𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗡 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀. If you have the ASIN of a competing book, you can see which keywords may be helping that book get discovered. This can give you ideas for relevant keywords to research for your listing or Amazon Ads campaigns. 𝟰. 𝗜𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿. Publisher Rocket allows me to quickly compare competing books and review information such as rankings, estimated sales, pricing, keywords, and categories. Instead of bouncing between dozens of Amazon listings, I can analyze the market in one place. 𝟱. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁. For those of us who don’t adapt well to major interface changes, Publisher Rocket has remained refreshingly familiar during the almost five years I’ve owned it. Features don’t constantly move around, and I don’t suddenly have to hunt for something that used to be in a familiar spot. The bottom line is that research matters. Publisher Rocket currently costs $199 as a one-time purchase, but in my opinion, that beats paying $50 or more every month for a competing tool with a steeper learning curve. If you’re interested in trying Publisher Rocket, I’ll drop my referral link below. Have you used it before, or are you still doing most of your book research manually? 👉 GET PUBLISHER ROCKET

📚 The MAIN Problems With Kids Books...
You would think creating a children’s book would be easy because the books are short, right? But honestly, writing the story is usually the easy part. It’s everything that comes AFTER the story that starts getting complicated. 😅 📖 𝟭. 𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗦 A spread is when an illustration spans across two facing pages of your book. They can look amazing, but formatting them correctly for print can be a challenge. You have to think about bleed, margins, the gutter, where your characters are positioned, and whether something important is going to disappear into the center of the book. Unless you’re using a program like InDesign or Affinity that can properly handle those layouts, this can become frustrating pretty quickly. 🤯 🎨 𝟮. 𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 You can hire a professional illustrator, but depending on the book, that can easily cost thousands of dollars. 💸 AI has made illustration much more accessible, but it comes with its own problem: 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆. Your character looks perfect on page one, and then five pages later their face changes, their clothes are different, or suddenly they look like an entirely different kid. 😂 🔤 𝟯. 𝗧𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗧 Another HUGE issue I see is text getting lost in the illustrations. 👀 I’ve seen so many DIY children’s books where the artwork is beautiful, but the text is sitting on top of a busy part of the image and becomes difficult to read. Or someone generates the text directly into the AI image, which creates another problem because now you can’t easily edit it when AI misspells something or creates those weird AI letters. 😵‍💫 Your text should remain editable and work 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 the illustration — not be permanently baked into it. 📱 𝟰. 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢 𝗘𝗣𝗨𝗕 And then there’s the ebook. 😬 Sure, you can create a children’s book in Canva and get a PDF that works for print. But what happens when you want to publish the Kindle version? Children’s picture books often need a 𝗳𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱-𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗘𝗣𝗨𝗕 so the illustrations and text stay exactly where they’re supposed to be. Suddenly, you’ve added another technical formatting project to your plate.

A Little Behind the Scenes...
I have been a little quiet in the community lately, not because i've been absent but because i've been building a testing, and building and testing. Children's books can be a good starting place, but they are not the easiest to make. Sure, they are short; they don't take long to write, but trying to format them can be a pain. @Jessica White Reached out to me and said ... but how do I create a "spread," and again, this is no simple task unless you have tools like InDesign or Affinity, which have a pretty big learning curve; it's not so simple. I've heard from so many of you who have told me that character consistency is a STRUGGLE when you're using AI, and I am working toward a SOLVE for that. (It's getting close...) Then I realized random objects you might want to reference were also a struggle to generate from scene to scene, so I've been solving for that too. (It's almost there) So here is just one output of a story I created while I was testing, building, and improving as I go. Let me know what you think!
