Goal Setting for 2025 🔥 AND - WHAT'S YOUR next ten years...
It's time to plan not only for your year of 2025, but also for the next ten years! 🔥I have a very strong opinion that we can all CREATE our lives how we want it to be. 🔥AND, I CAN PREDICT WHAT YOUR NEXT TEN YEARS WILL BE! Hear me out on this... 🔥 The way you spend your DAYS leads into how how you spend your WEEKS and that leads into how you spend your MONTHS which leads into how you spend your YEARS. ⚡️ Now, fast forward ten years - and that is a huge part of your life. If you aren't intentional with how you plan your next ten years, your life will become what everyone else wants it to be. Be intentional, and your life is what YOU create it to be! ⚡️START HERE: Ask yourself, "Ten years from now, what do I want to tell people how I spent the decade?" 💥 This was a question I posed to the Mastermind Members, in preparation for our upcoming 2025 success planning. In our weekly "Intention Setting" session, we envisioned our future and wrote down what we will tell people about how we lived our lives over the "past" decade (2025-2035). It was fun :) ⚡️ We ended the session by writing down one intentional action we could take, this week, that leads to our 10 year vision. The exercise was enlightening for many of the artists; some said that it forced them to think about how they wanted to live and it was the first time they realized they had control over that. 👇🏽So how about you? ⚡️Ten years from now, what do you want to be able to tell people about how you lived this next decade? SHARE IT BELOW! 👇🏽 (I'll share mine in the comments also...) PS: If you want to attend our upcoming 2025 SUCCESS PLANNING CLINIC, join the Mastermind here: https://www.skool.com/art-money-success-mastermind-6721/about

@Maria Brophy We will be on a cruise that stops there on June 17, 18 & 19, and then on to Italy (which is one of my favorite countries to visit). I have heard a lot of nice things about Croatia. I'm so happy that we will be able to spend at least a little time there.
Worst Advice You've Ever Been Given as an Artist...
For Drew and I, we were told many years ago, "Never work with your spouse..." and then another time, "Don't ever license your art..." and then another time, "Don't make prints of your art." All of these things are what helped us create success in the business of art. I'm so glad we didn't listen to this advice! How About You? Share below!

@Annmarie Lobdell I can totally relate about people telling you what to paint. They mean well, but they don't understand that if it doesn't come from the heart, then it won't be as authentic (at least for me). It's different than when someone is commissioning you beforehand. Plus, you never know what people will respond to.

Just get your work "out there." Also, pre-purchasing too many prints before knowing if they will sell.

There is a drawing that I have been starting and stopping over the last few years. I have had a lot of issues with the composition, so I get frustrated and put it away. I am about halfway done and the subject matter is special to me, so I haven't wanted to give up. A few weeks ago, I made a goal to finish it by the end of year.
Tutorial on how to make a digital portfolio to send as an email
This will get you on this gallerists email list, it is how he likes to receive submissions. No need to send portfolio to him. Could have many uses. We did this and used it in recent past, good instructions! https://xanadugallery1146.ac-page.com/blog-stepbystep-digital-portfolio-creation-guide

Wonderful! Thank you so much!
HAPPY FRIDAY! What was one big WIN this week?
I love this question; my wise business coach Ralph begins every session, asking me this. It forces me to look for the good, even when it was a rough week! :) They say that the feelings of gratitude bring in "good luck" or just good things in general. So the practice of NOTICING the good stuff is important, if you want to draw more good stuff to you. FOR ME: I got a deposit to hold a painting! This was a big one - it's 72" tall and 24" wide, and it's been sitting around for years. It's an awesome piece (photo below) - the collector who bought it loves to pay CASH. He's one of my favorite buyers. October has been really slow for art sales (it always is) and so selling this painting on October 30th saved the month :)

My win was tacked on to a positive ending from a very challenging week last week (not great news about my dog's health). Anyway, I ended last week with doing my town's Farmer's market. It ended up being one of my best events. Right off the bat, one person bought a framed print, unframed print and four greeting cards (of the same print). Another bought an 8 x 10 photo of a leopard because it reminded her of her recent Africa trip. She had tears in her eyes and thanked me for bringing back such a good memory. That meant sooo much to me. The added win this week was that I was contacted by someone who had stopped by my booth and said she couldn't get this one framed print out of her mind and asked if she could still purchase it. Yay! She also wanted to be "kept in the loop" about future work.
