Claude /context usage - show your stats!
quick context-window question for you guys how much are you using? what's your Claude /context look like? mine is sitting at 43k on a fresh window before I even start working - 14k of that is my own memory/brain files (CLAUDE.md, context, rules), rest is system prompt + tools. is this good or bad? heard somewhere on a YouTube vid in the background that 50k is bad. is that just about cost? or does it actually hurt the model's output quality? how much are you guys at on an empty window? I just set up a bunch of context files and jumped from 28k to 43k. wondering if I overdid it or if this is normal territory. how do you handle it - keep everything loaded for full context, or trim down and load on-demand?

@Ryan Doser i switched to max, as i had to wait so much and it became ineffiecnet haha. so now i can use opus and the credits seem to last long.

ok that seems to be fine then. Yes im also using skill that call Reference files only when needed. /insights was a very interesting command. my 5 hour session credits went from 92 to 100% but it was worth it. Seems like some of my skills have a false trigger. Will look at it tomorrow. 🍾

@Ryan Doser yes but it's different. Not a clip production tool - it generates the complete faceless video. Sounds like slop on paper, but people seem to be making decent videos with it. Or they're just selling hard - I can't test it yet, there's a waitlist. At first I thought it's rubbish. But if people aren't lying it could actually be cool. Got me thinking - if a Claude agent generates videos and another agent reviews the output for consistency, realism, quality, and regenerates if it's off, while also pulling reference videos from that niche... that could be pretty solid. The pitch is basically: looks like a real YouTube video, not a typical AI thing.

ALERT: My AI planning dashboard deleted itself overnight 💀
Ryan mentioned dashboards. I just built one on the go. Didn't think much, looked cool. Claude Cowork Live Artifacts - you can build a live dashboard directly in Claude. Calls, leads, todos, calendar. One prompt. Loaded it with video ideas for 3 channels, links, transcripts, notes. Everything in one place. Next morning? Gone. RAM only. No auto-save. Claude: "Built you a dashboard with 1000 features. You can plan content for the next 30 days! Saves only to memory though. Save button coming now!" Tool actually works great. Just check persistence before you build your whole workflow in it. Anyone using Live Artifacts in their stack? How are you handling persistence? 👇 Should i have watched Ryans video till the end? :)

@Ryan Doser i used cowork - the live artifacts feature. After my restart, cladue told me its a local html, but the data is saved in the cache. I looked for a few minutes and gave up. Yes i will build my next dashboard with visual code studio and let you know if it integrates the save button without me begging for it :)
