Experiment in Vocabulary Building
Yesterday, I tried an experiment in building Spanish vocabulary that worked out very well. First, I loaded a Spanish language article from Chicago's LaRaza newspaper into Google Translate. Second, I printed the Spanish and English versions of the article. Third, I read the Spanish version and underlined the words I did not understand. Fourth, I checked the English translations of the words. Finally, I read the Spanish version again. The second reading was quite smooth. Anyone who wants to find LaRaza can use the following link: https://laraza.com/

Gracias, Michael I just went there and read an article about where to find winter clothes for cheap or free in Chicago with links to the organizations. I understood the majority of what the article said and even the words I didn't understand, I was able to pick up the gist of the article with no problem. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, Michael, I have a browser tool called "Inline Lingo" that is a translation tool available as a Chrome add-on and Microsoft Edge extension that allows users to instantly translate words and text snippets on web pages with just one click. It enhances your browsing experience by enabling seamless multilingual browsing, powered by Google Translate. You can easily download it from the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Addons. Saves from having to go to a dictionary as I just highlight the word/words/sentence I want translated and the icon comes up to click on, and it instantly pops open a box with the translation.

So, if I say, "esta lecciรณn fue muy interesante e informativa," it would be Realia category 4 memory? And if I say, "esta lecciรณn es muy interesante e informativa,"it would be Realia category 3 general?
Post Spanish conversation class
I am curious. After we complete the Spanish conversation class, how do we build on the learning momentum generated by the class?

@Steve Washington I too haven't been able to devote as much time as I'd like because of the Christmas holiday shopping etc., but thankfully, we can go back to day 1 and review all the lessons again. ๐Ÿ™‚
