Everyone needs you. Everyone wants something. And somehow you’re last. Fuck that. Come drop the load and put yourself back on the list.

What's on your Invisible Load?
I’ve been speaking with so many women lately about that "always-on" feeling—the constant mental checklist that never seems to get shorter, no matter how much you actually get done. We often call it being busy, but most of the time, it’s actually the "invisible load." It’s the planning, the emotional labor, and the mental logistics that take up so much headspace before you even start your day. I put together a simple audit to help you map out exactly what you’re carrying. The goal isn't just to see the list, but to identify the specific areas where you can start setting boundaries and actually putting some of those things down. It’s free, and it’s helped a few people I’ve worked with realize they were managing three people's worth of mental work. You can grab it here if you’re ready to lighten the load! What’s one thing on your list this week that you’ve been carrying that you could realistically hand off or just stop doing entirely? Let's discuss.

@Glen Hutsell the handoff is what comes after the Audit, in my community. I work with women, who carry the highest load typically as we are considered responsible for the running of the house, and by default the family's life I recognise that not all families still work in this way, but far too many do.

@Lisa Viviers thank you! 💜
💭 TUESDAY THOUGHTS: More Eyes on Your Community… Then What?
Yesterday's conversation showed there's different stages of community growth. One of our members shared how Pinterest has led to a huge increase in visitors to her community's About Page. That's exciting! But here's something worth considering… When more people visit your About Page, what impression are they getting of the community they're about to join? Your About Page is often the first glimpse people get of what happens inside your community. It helps them decide whether the promise, the people and the experience are what they're looking for. Getting people to look is one thing. Helping the right people understand the value of joining is another. And then, of course, the experience inside needs to live up to the expectations you've created. 👇 Let's talk, Nexus! When you look at your own community's growth journey, which area are you focusing on most right now? 🌱 Getting more of the right people to discover you? 🌱 Helping visitors understand why they should join? 🌱 Making sure the experience inside delivers on that promise? I'd love to hear your thoughts! 😊

Personally I think all three are equally important, there's no point getting more visitors if they don't understand why they should join or the experience isn't right when they do.

@Lisa Viviers Absolutely. I've set things in motion to increase my visibility, changed my About Page with a keyword focus and made some changes in the community, I'm hoping that I can start to tell people about the value of the group because that's where I struggle.
You don't need to earn your rest
You don't have to finish everything before you're allowed to rest. Read that again. Because if you're a woman who carries a lot, there's always another thing. Another load of washing. Another email. Another person who needs something. Another job that would be easier if you just did it yourself. The list doesn't end. You just get more exhausted trying to reach the bottom of it. What if rest wasn't a reward for being productive enough? What if your needs mattered before you'd ticked off every bloody item on the list? At Phoenix Hatchlings, we work on making space for yourself, setting boundaries and letting go of the belief that you must do everything for everyone. You are allowed to be a person, not just a service provider with a pulse. What would you do with an extra hour that nobody else was allowed to claim?

❗ TONIGHT'S NETWORKING & CONNECTION CALL — CANCELLED❗
Unfortunately, I need to cancel tonight's Networking & Connection Call. I've been back to the doctor and have bronchitis and laryngotracheitis, so I need to give my body and voice time to recover properly. I was looking forward to connecting with you all tonight, and I'm sorry we have to miss another week. Thank you for your patience and understanding while I get better. 💚 In the meantime, please keep connecting with one another here in Skool Nexus! Share what you're working on, ask questions, exchange ideas and support a fellow community owner. You don't need to wait for our live calls to build meaningful connections. I'll update you about our next call when I'm feeling better. Take care of yourselves and keep growing together! 🌱
