👀 TEST THE TOP OF YOUR ABOUT PAGE
Paste only the first visible section of your Skool About Page in the comments below. No extra explanation. Don’t tell us who it’s for or what you meant. Everyone else: read it like you’re seeing that community for the first time, then answer: 1. Who do you think this is for? 2. What do you think they’ll get from joining? 3. What would you expect to happen after you join? The goal isn’t to rewrite their About Page for them. It’s to show them what their words communicate before they get a chance to explain them. If the answers match what you intended, great. If they don’t, you just found something worth clarifying. 👀 Drop the opening of your About Page below. 👇

🔎 About Page Breakdown — Phoenix Hatchlings
🏁 First Impression @Emma Pollard, this page knows exactly who it’s talking to. The opening— “Are you the one holding everyone up while quietly slipping further down the priority list?” —is excellent. It doesn’t sound like generic “women’s empowerment” copy. It describes a woman who is capable, responsible, exhausted, and tired of disappearing inside everyone else’s needs. And the Phoenix branding fits the transformation beautifully. Biggest opportunity: you’ve nailed “this is me.” Now strengthen “this works” and “here’s how I begin.” ————— 📊 Overall Score: 88/100 🟡 Good ————— 🎯 Promise — Do I Want This? 20/20 This is the strongest part. The banner gives me: Set boundaries without guilt → rebuild confidence → put yourself first → create a life that feels like you. Then the copy goes deeper into what her life actually feels like right now. Even the relationship/intimacy section makes the problem more real instead of stopping at “burnout.” 🧠 Visitor: “Oh wow. She’s describing me.” ————— 🛤️ Plan — Do I Understand It? 17/20 I know what I can work toward, and I know there’s a classroom, sisterhood, weekly grounding, Q&As, and celebrations. But I don’t quite know what happens first. Interestingly, the banner already contains a potential roadmap: Set boundaries → Rebuild confidence → Put yourself first → Create a life that feels like you I’d lean into that as the actual journey inside the community. 🧠 Visitor: “I really want this…but where do I start once I’m inside?” ————— 🧾 Proof — Do I Believe It? 14/20 The banner helps by identifying Emma as a Life Coach, NLP Practitioner and ADHD Advocate, and having Emma appear in the branding/video adds a human face. But this is the biggest gap. There’s no member story or visible transformation yet showing that another woman has gone from overwhelmed and over-responsible to stronger boundaries and more confidence. 🧠 Visitor: “Emma gets what I’m dealing with. Has this worked for someone like me yet?”

I've now tweaked the text, added the journey Image, recorded a new video and added a thumbnail and got some lovely feedback from members. They're not testimonials as such because it's still a new group so I'll change it in the future. Have I missed anything?

Say hello to @Heather Bartlett! 👋 Heather — really glad you made your way in. It looks like you’re already starting to put something of your own together here, which is always a fun stage to watch unfold. 😊 I’d love to hear this in your own words: When someone joins what you’re building, what do you most want them to walk away with? 👀 Happy to have you here, Heather! 🙌
