Stop Undervaluing Yourself
How much is your time worth? I see this all the time - Good people - Smart people - Hardworking people Doing everything themselves: - Driving everywhere - Answering everything - Fixing everything And then wondering why the business isn’t moving This week I spoke to one of my mentees On track for £500k EBITDA Let’s break that down → £10,000 a week EBITDA → £2,000 a day → Roughly £250 an hour → Around £4 a minute So here’s the question: Why are you doing £15 an hour jobs? Why are you doing £20 an hour tasks? Even £30 an hour work is almost 10x below your value Every hour you spend there Is an hour you’re NOT spending: → Growing the business → Building systems → Creating opportunities → Increasing that £250 an hour And here’s the uncomfortable truth: If you’re not hitting the numbers you want yet It’s probably because You’re stuck doing £13, £15, £20 an hour work ....F'ing around word-smithing an email or reading through post etc... ....Instead of doing the work that actually moves the dial “Do what only you can do” Things that will actually generate growth, profit or new business... That’s where the value is Everything else - Delegate it - Systemise it - Remove it Work out your number Based on your EBITDA Or where it should be Break it down - Hourly - Per minute Then look at your diary: Be honest How much of your time is being spent below your pay grade? Stop undervaluing yourself Start acting like your time matters Because it does And when you treat it that way Everything changes If you’re serious about growth Start buying your time back That’s where the real leverage is 👍

Since our call at the weekend, @Mike Greene I went in at THREE times the original hourly rate for that consulting with a discount on six sessions not worrying whether I win it or not. I now know my value, and whilst I may do things to help others, no way am I charging below my market value anymore!
Stop trying to please/impress everyone
The more you chase approval from others The less you improve yourself Most people don’t fail because they lack ability They fail because they’re constantly looking sideways → What will people think? → Is this the right move? → Do I look stupid doing this? So they hesitate They water it down They play safe And nothing changes Approval feels good But it costs you Every time you look outward for validation You weaken trust in your own judgement And if you don’t trust yourself You’ve got nothing to build on The people you’re trying to impress? Most of them: → Aren’t where you want to be → Haven’t done what you want to do → Aren’t carrying the risk you are So why are they setting your standard? If you actually want to grow: → Make decisions quicker → Accept some will be wrong → Learn fast → Move again That’s where improvement comes from. Not approval Action Stop asking Start doing Your life Your call

Just Chill
Sometimes you just need to switch off Step away from the noise Step away from the pressure Step away from the constant doing And just be Today was one of those days - Sunshine - Fresh air - Family time We’ve been talking for ages about building a bug hotel Today we actually did it Proper simple Proper fun Proper memories Spaces for hedgehogs Robins Beetles Butterflies Bees And everything in between No strategy No targets No pressure Just presence And here’s the truth most people forget → You don’t build a life just through work → You build it through moments like this Did you do something today that made you smile?

My weekend was centred around my Son taking him BMX racing and he picked up a third place in the Winter Series Trophy, so incredibly proud to see when he started riding at 5 years of age and now 21 this year, still has a passion for the sport! Oh and I did a bit of reading and caught up with my weekly plan so I am rearing to go!
Bitter or Better
Bitter or Better. People who work closely with me will have heard this before: Life isn’t smooth. It’s a yo-yo. Wins. Losses. Progress. Setbacks. Celebration. Frustration. That’s not a problem. That’s the game. That's the terrain But whatever happens… You’ve always got a choice. You can get bitter. Or you can get better. And most people? They get bitter: Angry at their parents. Angry at their partner. Angry at their kids. Angry at their boss. Angry at the government. Angry at everything. Let me ask you something. When has anger ever, ever, ever improved your situation? When has bitterness ever moved you forward? It hasn’t. Not once. It clouds judgement. Kills perspective. Keeps you stuck exactly where you are. Better is different: Better is ownership. Better is learning. Better is moving forward regardless. You don’t control what happens to you. But you do control what you do with it. Bitter or better. I know which one serves me. “Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies.” - Nelson Mandela

But whatever happens… You’ve always got a choice. You can get bitter. Or you can get better. That was the wording that resonated with me. A while back, to be very honest, I was possibly in the bitter frame, and last year was the "move the needle" time to getting better. Now the real work begins....
Better late than never!
Yesterday on an our open zoom SKOOL session, one of the guys turned up late. Not because he couldn’t be bothered. Not because he forgot. Because he was dealing with a customer emergency call out. He had to reprioritise. He did what business owners do. He handled it. That’s life: Things move. Problems land. Priorities shift. Most people in that situation? They don’t bother showing up at all. “Too late now.” “I’ve missed most of it.” “I’ll just catch the next one…” But he joined anyway. And in those last few minutes? He picked up a couple of solid ideas. Had a laugh. Got some perspective. Connected with people on the same path. That’s the difference. So many people miss a deadline, miss a moment, miss an opportunity… And then they miss everything that follows. They quit too early. In business. In life. In rooms that matter. Listen carefully. You might turn up late and miss a bit. But if you don’t turn up at all… you miss everything. There’s always value in showing up. Always something to take. Always a connection, an idea, a shift. The people who win aren’t perfect. They’re just present. Always show up.
Better late than never!

Enjoyed the call with @Mike Greene, and he was on fire 🔥 as usual, full of energy and supportive in so many ways, and I saw first-hand the suggestions made in the last throws of the call. Right on point, and would really recommend jumping on these calls as so much wisdom and knowledge shared. (*and great connections too!)
