You Should Want FREE Leads
Hot take: Free lead programs at lower comp are NOT automatically a scam. For some newer agents, they can actually be one of the best ways to learn the business. A brand new agent with: • no sales experience • no underwriting knowledge • no phone skills • no referral network • and no marketing system… Probably shouldn’t be dropping thousands on leads immediately. Sometimes it makes more sense to trade some comp for: live reps coaching daily call volume real-world experience learning how to close learning underwriting learning how to keep business on the books The industry loves to scream: “ONLY TAKE TOP COMP!” Meanwhile half the agents yelling that are quietly failing because they can’t afford enough activity to improve. The truth? There’s pros and cons to BOTH models. Higher comp + buying your own leads can be incredible IF you already know what you’re doing. But if you’re brand new, a structured free lead system can help you build the fundamentals first. That’s why I’m building Life Agent Clarity Academy. To give newer agents REAL conversations about the insurance industry instead of hype and fantasy land recruiting posts.

There are many ways that agents are successful in this business. Some people dial, dial, dial using their phones or a dialer and appointment setters. Some people run all their appointments on zoom. What are your opinions on the best way to get appointments set and run them?

You Have to Adapt
🧠 Adaptability Is A Superpower In This Industry One thing I’ve learned very quickly in the insurance business is this: You cannot be emotionally attached to your opinions. If I see something working better, I adapt.If I learn a better system, I pivot.If I realize I was wrong about something, I change my mind and improve. Too many agents let ego trap them into outdated methods, bad training, or systems that clearly aren’t producing results. The business changes. Marketing changes. Consumer behavior changes. Technology changes. The agents who survive long term are the ones willing to learn, adjust, and evolve without letting pride get in the way.

@Tyler Goode 100% correct, brother. You have to be ready to pivot when necessary. A lot of the information in this community maybe outdated in 6 months to a year from now. Updates will always be made in here
