Prayer for Police
A family member of mine is a police officer and has to attend a protest in Providence this afternoon at 2pm. Please pray for his safety and for peace to come to my heart that is filled with worry.

Prayer
The kids and I have been sick and I’m anxious to get back to our new daily mass routine. We were really gaining some momentum. Please, anyone who attends daily mass, bring our intention to be well again. Thank you!! Praying for you all. ❤️

@Elsa Lopez I think we are okay right now and don’t need any help while we are sick. I’m hoping this will be the last day of our recovery. However, will you keep an ear out for anyone in my area (EG, RI) looking to give the gift of time as a mother’s helper on a regular basis and enjoys children? We need a “stand-in grandma”. 😊 My parents come to help a couple times a week when they are in RI but they are snowbirds and grandparents on the other side of the family are not as available.
Count your blessings Challenge!
Okay…. You asked for it! Here’s the challenge! 🫶 We need to start counting our blessings. The world is full of bad news — but we have the greatest News… Jesus who comes to save us! But… we need to announce it when it comes. 💪So here’s the challenge: Every day - create a new post under the challenge category and share a blessing you received that day… You get an extra point if you share a Bible verse! (Possible — 2 points a day) This is going to be an advent challenge… so the last day is Christmas! 😇Winner will receive an advanced copy of my book on prayer — currently in the works! And the challenge starts…. NOW! 🥹🙏🔥 Here’s my blessing: all of you - sharing your faith - loving your faith - ready to commit to growth in virtue! I’m grateful for this community!

Today’s blessing was Jesus letting me know, when we were running late for mass, and no one was dressed in Christmas outfits, that He doesn’t care how we are dressed. “Please just come!” Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come.' And let the one who hears say, 'Come.' And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life freely

So thankful for the blessing of my growing knowledge of natural remedies for times like last night when my 5 year old had growing pains and couldn’t sleep. I had homemade magnesium lotion already whipped up and ready to go. And thankful for the “spiritual communion prayer” because we unfortunately didn’t make it to daily mass today. Saint Hildegard pray for us! Ezekiel 47:12 And fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fresh fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will be food and their leaves healing.
St. Monica, Pray for Us!
Being in a season of Advent, we are called to enter into a time of waiting. In our fast-paced society, a lot of us are used to near-instant gratification. Barring lifelong goals and our hopeful reunion with God in Heaven, society has conditioned us to get whatever we desire as soon as we desire it. A perfect saint who truly illustrates what it means to wait is St. Monica. Mother of the famous St. Augustine, she fervently prayed and fasted for her son's conversion. Year after year, her son, filled with worldliness and vice, continued to reject Christ. Seeking guidance from a Bishop, the story goes that he tried to explain to her that it was pointless to try to convince him to turn to God, but to continue praying all the more. As such, St. Monica persisted. Finally, after seventeen years of prayer, he saw the errors of his ways and got baptized into the Catholic faith. Just a few weeks later, she passed away. In her wake, she left behind a grateful son who would also go on to become a great saint and a saintly example of patience we should all aspire to emulate. ❤️The Lord recently told me to stop trying to force my child to only look at religious books during mass. He said “allow him to read what he wants as long as it’s not sinful and make sure that the religious books are also available to him. I will sway him.” God truly does do the heavy lifting for us.
