Why must grown men say “Fit”?
Seriously guys, I’d love to hear the rationalization why mature adults speak like my 15 year old, who’s idea of dressing up is a new Nike sweatshirt two sizes too big. 🤮 Is it so on trend to say Fit instead of “outfit” that it is now transcending generations? Clearly I missed that lecture in etiquette and style 101. Why dress like a gentleman but not speak like one? Please flame me here if you disagree with me. I can use the education. 🤣

I was recently at the Doctor's office and the Medical Assistant (young 30's female) went to weigh me and she said "take anything off that you don't want to be weighed with, I really like the fit though" For reference, I was wearing gray chinos, white button up, navy merino wool v neck, gray sports jacket, navy cashmere scarf, and a gray flat cap. I can't recall the shoes and belt but they were leather and matched (I believe cognac). I assumed she was talking about the fit as in how my clothes fit. Truth be told, I had never heard fit used the way you are saying. It dawned on me afterward she may have been abbreviating the word outfit. I don't think I had an opinion one way or the other on the use of the word. I was just happy to have received a nice compliment from an attractive woman 20 years my junior.

My first customer
Last night I worked on a pair of pants that a customer wanted to be hemmed and warning a 1 1/2 inch cuff on the pair of pants. It took a little bit of time because I did some of it by hand, but I got it done. Let me know what you think they do good or not.

Green Gold Grey and Royal Blue. Liturgical Christmas
In keeping with my colors of Christmas theme, I chose a gold sweater (Christmas liturgical colors are either gold or white) to go under my Royal blue blazer with a gold and blue pocket square (to celebrate the Advent season). Grabbed a green with light blue and gold micro dot shirt and a green rep tie with gold along with my grey flannel pants. Pantherella socks, 1982 Cole Haan Waxhides and my Seiko Model 5. Having lunch with a pastor client today.
