That draft sits in your Gmail drafts folder — waiting for you to read it, tweak it, and hit send yourself. The key word is DRAFT. Nothing goes out without you. You keep the human check, you just skip the blank-page part every single time. 🔧 What it touches: ➡️ Gmail — https://mail.google.com — watches the inbox and creates the draft ➡️ ChatGPT (OpenAI) — https://platform.openai.com — writes the reply ➡️ Make.com — https://www.make.com — the thing wiring the two together 🛠️ The build, start to finish: 1. In Make.com, create a new scenario and you'll get a blank canvas with one + button 2. 2. Click + → search Gmail → choose Watch Emails 3. 3. Connect your Gmail account and allow access 4. 4. Set the folder to Inbox, and set the filter to unread only — you don't want it firing on stuff you've already dealt with 5. 5. Click + on the right → search OpenAI → choose the message/completion module 6. 6. Add your OpenAI connection with an API key from platform.openai.com 7. 7. In the prompt, paste the email body from the Gmail module's output — that's mapping, you click the field from the panel 8. 8. Tell it plainly: draft a warm, personalised reply to this enquiry, don't invent facts you weren't given, and leave anything you're unsure about for me to fill in 9. 9. Click + again → search Gmail → choose Create a Draft (NOT Send) 10. 10. Map the To field to the sender's address, and drop ChatGPT's output into the body 11. 11. Hit Run Once, then click the bubble on each module to see exactly what went in and what came out 12. 12. Check the draft actually appeared in Gmail. Then set a schedule — every 15 min is fine — and toggle it on The one habit that saves you pain: add one module, run once, look at the bubble, then add the next. Never build all four and then press run.
