I lived through the 60’s and 70’s too, and I miss those days so dearly. There was a softness in the world, a sense of community, a way people cared for one another that felt natural and true. Even though life has changed, those values can still live in us. We can carry them forward in the way we speak, the way we treat each other, and the way we choose to show up every single day. Kindness is not a weakness, it is strength, it is courage, it is a better way to live. We can teach that simply by being who we are, by leading with calm hearts and steady compassion. I keep praying for our country and our world, hoping that people begin to learn from the mistakes and the noise and the ignorance that has taken hold. Life will never return to exactly what it once was, yet we are not helpless. We can make a difference. We can help the world heal one heart at a time. We do that by helping each other, by speaking gently, by choosing compassion, and by reminding people that animals are some of the greatest healers we have. They soften us, they guide us, they bring us back to what matters. Let’s be more collaborative and lift each other higher, bringing more light to the eyes and hearts that need it most. We need to hold each other up to the light so we each shine brightly. 🐾💗🐾
