Baby Steps
Hi everyone I created my first GPT. I call him the Prompt Genius. I have tryed some the prompt , and they seem like there pretty good. I have been working on some digital products. It's more work than I thought that it would be. When you watch people on TV, it seem like it's so easy and everything in comes so quickly, but in real life there's a lot of work to do. I have the plus GPT and I'm going to put togethet my first AI Automation to nigth💯

@Willie Bonner - Nice work, Willie... naming it “Prompt Genius” sets the bar high, and it sounds like you’re already delivering. You’ve already discovered the real secret: it’s not magic, it’s momentum. Each build, each prompt, each tweak adds up fast. That first automation tonight will be another brick in the wall. Keep stacking. 💪
⚡ GPT-5 Has Arrived: Everything You Need To Know
Greetings, Heroes In case you haven’t heard, OpenAI just unleashed GPT-5, and I’ve been putting it through its paces these past few days. Let’s just say… it’s faster, smarter, and way more versatile than anything we’ve had before, and yes, I found a way to make it build an actual playable game inside ChatGPT. I just posted a new video in our brand-new AI News & Trends section that walks you through: - What’s changed (and why it matters) - How the new unified intelligence system works - The biggest ChatGPT platform upgrades rolling out alongside GPT-5 - A few fun experiments you’re going to want to try for yourself The best part? You can start using GPT-5 right now, even on the free plan. 🎯 Watch the video here Have you started playing with GPT-5 yet? What do you think so far? — Taylan 🧙‍♂️🔮

Hey Taylan, great video. I also went with the Cynic personality mode to curb the yes-man tendencies in ChatGPT. Found the setting to show the legacy GPT-4o model again, so the old toolbox isn’t totally gone. I also saw the option to choose an accent color, so I went with green... perfect inspiration for leveling up in AI Quest.
🌴 A Special Visit, A Slower Week, A Full Heart
Hey Heroes, just wanted to drop in with a quick life update and a few special moments I felt called to share. If you’ve been wondering why I’ve been a little quiet in the community and on YouTube this past week, it’s because something really meaningful has been happening in my world… My parents have been visiting me here in Bali, for the very first time. After nearly 8 years of building a life here, I finally got to show them this place that’s shaped so much of who I am today. The nature, the culture, the people, the pace — all of it. To say it’s been surreal would be an understatement. We’ve been soaking in every moment together: - Cleansing our spirits at Tirta Empul Temple - Walking the peaceful rice terraces of Ubud - Experiencing deep healing at the Pyramids of Chi - Relaxing with Balinese massages - And watching the sunsets roll in over the beaches of Uluwatu It’s been a week of slowing down, reconnecting, and remembering what truly matters. I’m so grateful for the chance to share this chapter of my life with the people who raised me, and to see the wonder in their eyes as they experience this island for the first time. This has been a beautiful reminder that while we’re all here building, growing, and reaching for what’s next… it’s moments like these that nourish us at the deepest level. Thanks for your patience while I’ve been a little off the radar. I’ll be back to regular posting next week, both inside the community and on YouTube. Lots of exciting things still to come! With a full heart, Taylan ❤️

This was really moving to read, Taylan. There’s something quietly profound about witnessing family bonds that not only last, but deepen - it’s rarer than most admit. And somehow, it makes sense that someone who’s cultivated such a beautiful, meaningful community here would also get to experience that kind of connection with family. One kind of love echoes into the other. Grateful you shared this moment. 🙏
🧠 Top AI Tools for Brainstorming & Story Development
Since a few people have asked me what AI tools I use for brainstorming and story development, I wanted to share my go-to tools with the community for creative ideation, writing, and research—along with what each one does best (in my experience). 🔱 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐂𝐊 (𝗺𝘆 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄) - ChatGPT – Best for structure, flow, and outlining - Claude – Intuitive with tone, nuance, and emotional resonance - Perplexity – Excellent for real-time research, citations, and surfacing overlooked details These three cover 95% of my creative and strategic needs—whether I’m building long-form content, video scripts, or concept frameworks. 🌀 𝐎𝐂𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐆𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐒 - Gemini – Occasionally surfaces unique phrasing, but often shallow; tends to regurgitate mainstream content - Grok – Can surprise you with left-field or unconventional insights, but very hit-or-miss - Copilot – Task-oriented; great for code or documentation, but not made for ideation 🧪 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐍'𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐊 (𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲’𝐫𝐞 “𝐛𝐚𝐝,” 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰) - Jasper – Built on GPT-4 + Claude. Strong team but the UX didn’t click. - Sudowrite – Started with OpenAI; now blends in their own model (Muse). Didn’t vibe with the interface. - Pi – Runs on Inflection’s in-house model. Friendly, but too slow and chatty. - You.com – A hybrid of their own models and GPT-4. Good on paper; scattered in practice. 🧠 Note: Most of these tools use similar underlying models. The real differentiator is interface, speed, and workflow. If it doesn’t amplify your process, it’s probably not the right tool for you. 🗃️ 𝐌𝐘 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐂𝐊 - Ideate in ChatGPT - Expand/refine in Claude or Perplexity - Archive and organize in Notion as my System of Record 🏹 𝐏𝐑𝐎 𝐓𝐈𝐏 If you’re using Taylan’s QuestOS (Notion Command Center), these tools slot in perfectly during the Clarity → Create phases. I treat ChatGPT like a creative co-pilot, then migrate insights into my Quest vault for refinement or reuse.

@Devin Taylor - Thanks, Devin! That makes sense—Gemini does seem to shine more in visual/branding tasks. I’ve found it less useful for deep narrative work or nuanced phrasing—it tends to echo mainstream patterns. Your lens definitely puts its strengths into sharper focus. Good to know!

@Amanda McRoberts - Amanda, I love how you’ve personified your AI stack... it’s poetic, strategic, and totally mythic. That council structure is next-level. Thanks so much for sharing it!

Greetings Heroes, This morning, during my daily meditation (I use the Calm app — highly recommend), I was reminded of a Japanese concept that always stops me in my tracks: Ikigai. In simple terms, Ikigai means “reason for being.”It’s the intersection of four things: 1. What you love 2. What you're good at 3. What the world needs 4. What you can be paid for When those four align, you unlock something powerful — a sense of deep purpose, direction, and joy. For example: - A chef who uses their creativity to bring people together through food. - A coach who helps others transform because they’ve been through it themselves. - A teacher who lights up watching someone finally “get it.” But here’s the thing… It’s so easy to spend our lives chasing things out of obligation. Doing what others expect. Prioritizing survival over meaning. Burning time, energy, and life force on things that feel… misaligned. This is something I’ve personally struggled with for years. There were seasons where I was doing “well” by society’s standards, but I was disconnected from my why. Empty wins. Chronic burnout. Internal friction I couldn’t explain. Only in the last few years have I started to feel like I’m truly stepping into my Ikigai, by helping others learn emerging technologies and reconnect with their own clarity and purpose. It’s changed everything for me. - My mental health - My motivation - My joy - My relationships - Even how I show up for myself And I want that for you, too. ⚔️ Alignment Exercise (Drop Your Comment Below) What do you believe your Ikigai is? And how will you embody it this coming week? If you’re not sure yet, that’s totally okay. You're not broken or behind. A great place to start is with the Character Builder exercise inside our QuestOS training series. It’s designed to help you reconnect with your values, vision, and deeper purpose.

Taylan, this is such a thoughtful post - I love how you clearly laid it all out. I think for some of us, the “why” isn’t something we discover - it’s something that discovers us. And not in a flash of light or worksheet exercise, but over a long arc of lived contradiction. Often it doesn’t show up until the old fuel - survival, validation, programming - is completely burned off. Sometimes the “why” doesn’t arrive because it’s not time - and also because time is a construct. It’s not a race. It’s recursion. You don’t get to the real “why” by trying to beat the clock - you get there by fully living through your loops. I’ve learned that many of us don’t recognize our purpose until after we’ve exhausted ourselves chasing something that was never ours to begin with - a “why” prescribed by someone else. Family, culture, success narratives. Then we wake up in the ruins of that pursuit - and something new starts whispering. Some people get it early. For others, it arrives in fragments - in dreams, detours, breakdowns. Gnosis unfolds on its own timeline - not according to a plan, but through lived experience. To those still waiting - you’re not late. You’re not broken. You’re not behind. You’re just one of the sparks in hiding - unfolding not by force, but by resonance. Just keep going. Your why WILL find you.

@Taylan Alpan - I did want to circle back on this - I first came across Ikigai years ago and felt something stir. But I couldn’t get it to lock in. It felt conceptual, like holding a compass with no terrain. Taylan, your QuestOS Dashboard changed that. It’s not just a tool—it’s a tuning fork. It helped me finally see the pattern beneath the pattern. The one my inner knowing had been circling for years. It gave structure to the Gnosis I was already uncovering. Now Ikigai doesn’t feel like something I’m trying to reach. It feels like something I’m finally meeting - on solid ground. And the Dashboard? That’s what brought the two together. Right timing. Right tool. Right resonance. Thank you for creating something so quietly powerful.
