Today we made a proper Sunday breakfast for two — low-carb Norwegian waffles with homemade keto trollkrem. And this combination turned out SO good! 😋 🧇 For the waffles: • 1 package Sukrin Waffle Mix (100 g) • 3 eggs • 30 g oil or butter • 250 ml water The package says it makes approximately 6 waffles — we actually got 8 waffles from one batch. 🫐 For the keto trollkrem: • 100 g lingonberries • 25 g Sukrin Melis • 1 egg white I lightly mash the lingonberries together with Sukrin Melis using a fork, but leave some of the berries whole. Then I add the egg white and whip everything together until it becomes light, fluffy and beautifully pink. The trollkrem makes two generous portions — perfect for two adults. We served it on warm waffles instead of jam, and honestly, the combination is amazing: warm waffles with a light, fluffy, sweet-and-tart lingonberry cream. ❤️ 📊 WAFFLES — nutrition per 100 g prepared (according to the package) 177 kcal Fat: 12 g Protein: 13 g Carbohydrates: 6.7 g – Polyols: 5.6 g Fiber: 4.9 g Net carbs: 1.1 g 🫐 TROLLKREM — per portion (½ recipe) ~35 kcal Protein: ~2.5 g Fat: ~0.2 g Total carbs: ~6 g Fiber: ~1.8 g Net carbs: ~4–4.5 g One batch gave us 8 waffles + 2 generous portions of trollkrem, so we had 4 waffles each. No regular sugar, no regular flour — just a really satisfying Sunday breakfast that still fits beautifully into a low-carb/keto lifestyle. 🧇🫐 And I think trollkrem has officially become our favorite waffle topping. 😁🇳🇴 Would you try this combination?
