👋🏻❤🔧WELCOME TO GARAGE CONFIDENT: WOMEN WHO KNOW CARS
Hi!!! I’m Samantha — and I’m the one teaching here. 👋 Welcome to Garage Confident: Women Who Know Cars I built this space because I got tired of watching women get confused, talked down to, rushed, or straight-up ripped off when it comes to cars. Me? Cars are literally my life. I was a service advisor for 15+ years, and I had a following that was mostly women because they TRUST me. Now, I'm in the garage, I turn the wrenches, I’ve learned things the hard way. And I believe knowledge is power... especially in a space that’s historically tried to keep women out of it. Here’s what you should know about me and this community: - I teach how cars actually work, not just surface-level tips - I explain what shops say vs. what they mean - I help you know when something is necessary and when it’s BS - We start with the bare basics, but we will absolutely grow into DIY repairs, builds, mods, and performance - You do not need to turn a wrench to belong here... confidence comes first 😉 This is not a free-for-all advice group. This is not a place for ego or gatekeeping. And this is not a space where anyone gets shamed for not knowing something. I’m here to teach... You're here to learn. Questions are encouraged. Curiosity is respected. If you want to feel confident walking into a shop, understanding your car, or eventually repairing or building something of your own, then you’re exactly where you should be!! 👇 Introduce yourself below! Tell me: - What you drive - What brought you here - What you want to understand better about cars Welcome to Garage Confident. Let’s take the intimidation out of the garage.

Sorry for the delay!
Hey guys! So sorry for the delay in new courses!!!!! My health took a turn a few weeks ago, and then once I was finally feeling a little better, I had to get my butt right into the garage and help hubby with a few jobs! More courses coming soon, I promise!!! Comment what kinda of videos you’d like to see when I start making them!

Really enjoyed your course
@Samantha McKinney I just finished the course and really enjoyed it. It was an easy read, well organized, and everything was explained clearly. The symptoms-and-causes section was especially helpful. Now if something happens to my car, I feel like I can actually use the symptoms to figure out what might be wrong instead of feeling totally lost. I also didn’t realize how important coolant is for car maintenance. I only ever thought about oil changes before, so that was a big takeaway for me. Thanks for all the effort you put into making this!

@Hongjuan Blazer I’m so glad you’re enjoying the module!! As far as batteries go, generally from the factory they are good for 3-5 years and then when you replace it with one from the parts store, they come in tiers. 1- year, 3-year, and 5- year. Parts stores are supposed to rotate the batteries in the shelf as to make sure there’s always ‘fresh’ ones. But there is always the possibility of getting one that fell out of rotation. Usually your car will sound tired when you try to crank it over, if the battery is no good. 😊

Just a girl who basically lives in the garage. Before cancer, I was a service advisor for 15+ years. And now I turn wrenches with my hubby and teach!
