📣 Important Update: How This Group Will Work Moving Forward
Hi everyone 🤍 When I started this group, the goal was to give ambitious students real, strategic admissions guidance for free — not just generic tips. And it’s been amazing to see so many of you take advantage of it. But as things have grown, I need to focus my time on students I work with directly — so this group will now function as a resource hub only, without active Q&A. ✅ How to Use This Group Now You still have access to two core resources: - 70+ strategy posts (all organized in the “One-Stop Hub” pinned post) - The free course module (located in the Classroom tab) Both are incredibly valuable and cover the kind of guidance students usually pay counselors for — so I highly recommend making the most of them. I may still share occasional updates or resources here, but I’ll no longer be answering individual application questions. 📲 Want to Keep Learning? That’s all happening on Instagram — @theivywizard. I post new tips, strategy breakdowns, and student examples there every week. If you’re serious about improving your application, make sure you’re following — that’s where most of the new content will be. 🎓 Want Personalized Support? If you're applying soon and genuinely want guidance, you're welcome to book a free strategy call to explore a potential fit with my Ivy Blueprint coaching program. It's a structured, step-by-step system for building a standout application — with personalized coaching and feedback from me throughout the process. 💬 Don’t Forget — One of the main reasons I started this group was to help students connect. You're always welcome to post, share progress, and support each other here — that part hasn’t changed. Thanks again for being part of this community 💜 / Lisa (The Ivy Wizard)

@Aryahi Singh thank you for the kind words 🙏 it was lovely meeting you, wishing you best of luck with your apps!!
Counselor's email
please can a counselor submit the documents through his personal Gmail. My school doesn't have a domain email, they use normal Gmail account, should the counselor submit it using his normal Gmail account.

@Godfred Dwomoh it's actually not uncommon for intl schools. as long as the email you list as your counselor = the email account the counselor uses to create his login. then for all transcripts, they should include your formal name and details (as transcripts do) and be stamped (ideally) or signed by your counselor so they know it's official!

I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to inform you about an important detail related to my university application through the Common App platform. In Algeria, I studied my first year of secondary school at one high school, and then transferred to another school for my second year. Additionally, I have transcripts starting from Grade 9, which in our system corresponds to the last year of middle school. When I collect all my transcripts from Grade 9 through my current studies, I have a total of 9 separate documents. However, the Common App allows the conselor to upload a maximum of 4 transcripts and assign only one counselor. Could you please advise me on the best way to organize and submit my academic records in this case? Also, I would like to know: Is the conselor allowed to upload only the transcripts from our current school, or is it possible for him to upload all of my transcripts, including those from my previous school, if I provide them to him? Thank you very much .

Hi @Yara Roubah ! got it. i would ask your counselor to make three uploads: 1 upload for each of the schools you have attended. so my understanding is 1 for grade 9, 1 for grade 10, and 1 for grades 11-12 (alternatively 1 for grade 11 and one for grade 12 so far). if your school has access to adobe PDF or similar, they can put together all different docs into 1 PDF. alternatively they can print transcripts from one school and scan so they appear in one PDF. they have to do it, not you. as for the documents, they need to be official, meaning typically stamped or signed by your school. if they're not by your former school, then your current counselor needs to do so. then she can upload them. if needed, she can add a commentary in the commonapp (theres a space for it) the reason for many uploads and she confirms accuracy. good luck!
