From Salesforce Admin → What Skills Actually Move the Needle for Freelance Income?
Hey everyone, would love some quick advice from folks.👇 I’m currently planning to get my Salesforce Admin certification and start picking up freelance CRM work this year. I already have solid CRM experience and have had client interest before, so I feel good about that path. My bigger question is around what skills to prioritize next to grow my income. What high-impact skills would you recommend focusing on in the short term? Would really appreciate any thoughts or direction, especially from people already freelancing or working in this space.

Thanks. Will be doing this over the month! Is this the best resource on your channel? Does this replace the full course playlist?
On a roll!
Got my first invitation to interview after just 2 proposals after using Ryan's template on how to engage employers on Upwork. Refresh your memory here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8bFw1XQmco&list=PLcQVY5V2UY4L8_RvrhvgJsjnClE0BxxML&index=8&t=5s

The role ended up not being a good fit. It was a long-term project and the rate was pretty low. The company was based out of Romania.
What are the most in-demand skills for data analysts and data scientists on Upwork right now?
I’m trying to understand where client demand is highest (e.g., SQL, dashboards, Python, ML, etc.) and which skills actually lead to consistent paid work. I'm always seeing a lot of web scraping work for example. If you freelance in data/analytics, I’d love to hear: What skills clients request the most? What tools/projects get you the most jobs? Anything you wish you had focused on earlier? Thanks!

@Ryan Nolan My background is in data science and analytics across nonprofits, civic tech, and international orgs. I work heavily with SQL, Python, and cloud warehouses (Snowflake/BigQuery), and I’ve built dashboards in Tableau. I’ve also done a lot of cohort analysis, marketing analytics, and data engineering-lite work like pipeline design and API-based data collection.
