Hello from Kristin / Offering some encouragement and insight!
Hi everyone, I am so glad to be a part of this community. Over my years as a published author, I’ve navigated just about every twist and turn this writing life can throw at you—from the crushing weight of the blank page and imposter syndrome to the complexities of modern publishing. I'm here simply to connect, listen, and offer a hand to anyone currently struggling with their manuscript, character arcs, or the emotional ups and downs of the craft. If you are feeling stuck on a chapter, wrestling with a character's motivation, or just need a bit of encouragement today, please drop a comment below. I’d love to share whatever insights I can to help you move forward! Happy writing, Kristin

@Wolfram Grohnert Thank you for the warm welcome, Wolfram! I love that metaphor, dragging a manuscript out of a forest is exactly what writing a first novel feels like. And yes, absolutely. Often, the first book is just the gateway. Once you unlock that creative world, you realize the horizon goes on forever. It’s completely normal to feel a bit petrified by how big the landscape is, but it's also incredibly exciting. Is your first manuscript available anywhere yet (like Amazon), or are you still polishing it up before diving into its 'siblings'?

@Paul Cole Hi Paul, thank you so much for the thoughtful comment! That is a fantastic question. For me, the most valuable lesson has been learning to separate the draft from the edit. In those difficult moments of self-doubt or writer's block, I remind myself that a messy first draft is completely okay you can fix bad writing, but you can't fix a blank page. Shifting my focus from 'making it perfect' to 'just getting the story down' changed everything for my growth. I’d love to know more about your own writing journey. Are you currently working on a project, or do you already have a book available on Amazon?
