I've learned something over the years in my personal life and in business: The people who grow the fastest are the ones who seek out honest feedback; even when it's uncomfortable. Even if it hurts a bit. I used to avoid hard conversations. I'd sugarcoat things to keep the peace. And you know what happened? Nothing changed. I stayed stuck. The people around me stayed stuck. The moment I started asking for radical honesty: from my wife, my partners, my mentors, my friends; everything changed. It made me a better husband. A better friend. A better builder. A better man. The people who love you will tell you what you NEED to hear, not what you WANT to hear. And the people who win? They seek that out. Honest feedback is a gift. The most expensive mistake that I made was not starting on a ChatGPT business account to start with, but instead, I began on a ChatGPT plus account on my personal email address and lost absolutely everything in the migration to ChatGPT business workspace on November 30, 2025. I am still rebuilding. The second most expensive mistake that I made in 2025 involved time. I didn’t spend enough time researching the pain points of ChatGPT business and Google business workspace owners before opening up my accounts. Currently I am on a 14 day hold on my Google Business Workspace account. I won’t be able to use the full site, set up new accounts, ship my app, or email out potential customers until January 12. While these are mission stalling things for me, they were not nearly as bad as some of the giant $220,000 mistakes I have been reading about online from other solo founders who built successful apps on no code platforms and couldn’t get them out without either paying or having to delete their app and start over from scratch on a new platform. I’m a pretty savvy person , and I have fallen flat on my face multiple times just in the last four months and setting up this new business of mine. I know I can’t be the only one and I’d like to help others avoid the same traps. If you think that having a place to learn about this stuff would be beneficial, please leave me a comment.
