While I sympathize with that viewpoint in general, I recommended The Moment of Alignment. I want to share the miraculous way I manifested my "new" car after the accident. At first, my finance guy said I could NOT buy a new car for all cash. He suggested I get a Lexus hybrid. But Lexus was charging 5.75% financing. I knew my guy would not accept that. It's more than he can make in this market. I started looking at Certified cars and found a cool blue one from 2019 with 48,000 miles on it. But the warranty would only extend through this year. For a little more, I could get a cool black one with 4,000 miles on it with a warranty through '29. My finance guy said I couldn't shop until I knew what the insurance would pay. I reported that the Kelly blue book said the car was worth $23,000, so I expected it to be in that "ballpark". Providence gave me a gift. The settlement came in at $27,200. The new car was $36,000. With tax, registration, and tire and wheel (practically necessary in NY) the price was $42,500. Another miracle, in NY my registration was only $36, because the registration on the old car was only a month old. I told my finance guy we only needed $15,000 cash for the car. Meanwhile, the car salesman suggested we pretend to finance the car, and I could have 45 days to come up with all cash. But there was a glitch with Experian and we could not unfreeze my credit. The dealer arranged to give me a loaner car, a free rental, from Monday through Friday (another miracle!) and gave me til Friday to come up with the money. I had barely enough savings to cover it, plus I manifested a $200 affiliate commission from selling a Reiki course. The money from the finance guy came 4 days after the sale.

Last week I lost my car in an accident I was lucky to walk away from mostly unhurt. Today I went to the Lexus dealer to look at a 2019 cool blue 250h Sport with 48k miles, priced under $27k. They also had another model, 2023 all black with only 4000 miles on it, for $36k. I'm persuading myself it's a better deal to get the newer car with a warranty through 2029. The newer car also has apple carplay and other high tech.

I had lunch with an old friend from Assisted Living. I left there 6 months ago. I asked my friend to meet me outside. I said I'd had difficulties with several of the admin staff. I said the desk clerk didn't like me because she complained I ordered "too many packages". As I dropped her off, a different desk clerk came out with a package she had been saving for me. The stories we tell ourselves aren't even true!
