If AI gives you generic answers, the problem usually isn’t the tool—it’s missing context. Before writing your next prompt, answer: 1. What am I trying to accomplish? Be specific about the result you want. 2. Who is this for? Describe the customer, reader, or audience you want to reach. 3. What should the finished result look or sound like? Include the tone, length, format, and anything you want included or avoided. Instead of asking: “Write a post about my business.” Try: “Write a friendly Facebook post for women over 45 who feel overwhelmed by AI. Explain one simple way AI can save them time today. Use plain language, keep it under 150 words, and end with an open-ended question.” The more clearly you explain what you need, the less time you’ll spend correcting the answer. Try this formula today: “Help me create [what you need] for [who it’s for] so they will [desired result].
