BE the Church
Could this be an example of actually being the Church as opposed to going to one?

Yes please this is definitely fellowship and also Church. I attended a Lutheran church last Sunday in Austin and I dearly love the reverence, the calm and the quiet liturgy with a simple devotional, reflecting on the daily scripture of the day. I also had memory opportunities to sit with my daughter-in-law, talking about the Lord and his provision, and about my faith the Lord was present in alland in all there was fellowship and communion, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
A faith question...
So, yesterday, Michael and I were talking about God's provision. I won't go into the whole conversation here, but Michael posed this question: Can being a "prepper" (like food and goods) prevent us from relying fully on God? Not that I am advocating for sticking our heads in the sand or being irresponsible, do we as believers sometimes put trust in the stores rather than the provider? Just something I'm chewing on today.

The Lord gives us wisdom and discernment. I certainly think that is a matter of prayer and also using our God-given brain… Lol. I think of Joseph and other stories in the Bible, where they were specifically told to store up for the future and prepare, and I think also of how God instantly multiplied grain and oil and bread and fish for provision. The same can be said for storing up money for the future and for retirement. What is our motive? Are we making it a idol? I was seeking the Lord in how we plan and proceed?
