5 contributions to Sewing Boss Learning Lab
Housekeeping
Hello, I'm so glad you're here! I started this group to support thoughtful, focused learning - the kind that happens when people can ask real questions, share work-in-progress, and think things through without noise or pressure. To get the most from the group I'd love you to contribute. Have you noticed the little number under your profile picture? That's your level rank and it goes up the more your comment and interact. You can do this by asking questions, sharing what you’re working on, or offering considered feedback to others. To protect the learning environment, this is not a space for self-promotion or spam, and I ask that all suggestions and feedback are shared constructively and with care. Sewing is a skill built over time, and mistakes, questions, and uncertainty are all part of the process. These guidelines exist so everyone can feel comfortable slowing down, learning properly, and sewing well together. 👗 Keep posts on topic 🩱 Contribute so you can level up 🩳 No self-promotion or spam 🧥 Make suggestions constructive Let's kick this off with an introduction - pop a comment below and let us know what you're working on

A different type of pinning
How do you keep all your ideas? For online inspiration I save to Pinterest. I think of it like an online scrapbook of ideas with links to their original source. Her some of my recent saves - ▪️a cape idea I want to try - Pin on Patterns and templates ▪️some beading inspo - Pin on hand stitching ▪️and something I want to bring into our group next month - planning your sewing - Pin on fashion But be careful - Pinterest can make hours disappear 😉

No more zips caught in wedgies
Theres a new video in the classroom - how to get square corners when sewing in zips in pouches. I think you'll like this one for your bag making @Kylie McMullan and @Julie Butler

A little confession...
You may be surprised to hear this - but I sat on the idea for this group for over a year before I finally said - do it or let it go. So, it makes me forever grateful that you chose to be here and show an interest in all that is sewing. Our newest members this week are - @Zainab Lulat @Solveiga Brazauskiene @Livii Page @E Lk @Julie Butler @Lana Powers I'm going to be adding some great resources to the levels in the next few weeks, so be sure to comment and like each others comments (this is the best way to rank up)

Building a room
Hi peeps. Ive been catching up on my Skool notifications, and one belonging to our very own @Julie Butler was talking about building a room for her people instead of shouting "hey look at me" This is what I want to do here with you! This room - our sewing room - is for us to share our progress and our struggles so we can learn and improve our skills. Any question is worth asking, because as we all know, someone else probably has the same question. To get a feel for how everyone is feeling in their sewing journey, pick an option below and COMMENT what they want guidance in next.
