Real Question, Real Card Someone asks: "My partner and I keep having the same fight. Will we get past this?" You pull: Five of Swords What do you tell them? How do you deliver this message?

Good answer L.L.! I would say that we all want to be right about things, but sometimes winning the argument is not worth the cost. The 'winner' may actually turn out to be the loser if the partner walks away.

Look at The Fool. Don't overthink it. What's ONE word that describes this card for you RIGHT NOW? Just one word.

How to Choose Your First Tarot Deck (Without Overthinking It)
New to tarot? The "perfect deck" myth stops more people than anything else. And the other "myth": You can't buy your own deck. Total bullshit. I have no idea who came up with that bs but I wish it would just up and die already 🙄 Here's the truth: Your first deck doesn't have to be your forever deck! Two questions to ask yourself: 1. Would you rather... - Have a deck that follows traditional imagery (like Rider-Waite-Smith) so you can easily follow along with books and lessons? - OR have a deck with art that just speaks to you, even if it's non-traditional? 2. Would you rather... - Start with a classic deck that has tons of learning resources available? - OR jump in with something that excites you visually, even if you have to figure some things out yourself? My take: If you answered "traditional/classic" to both - grab a Rider-Waite-Smith deck. It's not special, but it's practical. Most books and lessons use it as the reference point. If you answered "speaks to me/excites me" - buy the deck that makes you want to actually use it. You can always learn the traditional meanings later. The real secret? You'll learn fastest with whichever deck you actually pick up and use. A "wrong" deck you use beats a "perfect" deck sitting in a drawer. What deck did you start with? Drop it in the comments.

My first was called 'meaning tarot'. It is the size of normal playing cards and it has a small image of the Rider-Waite card with a large border which contains all of the info you could ever need about it. It contains keywords, reverse meaning, astrological sign, you name it. It is a really great tool to start with, but I started buying more right away. I have 7 now, but will probably never stop buying them.

I'm here because tarot makes me feel at home! I mean it's exciting, but it feels so comfortable! I think I must have done it in a past life, which is interesting since I share a first name with Pamela Coleman Smith who did the illustrations for the Rider-Waite deck! 🃏One card I keep pulling (or want to understand): The Moon.

I should clarify, The Moon is one I want to understand more, not that I pull a lot.
