Let’s Share and Build Our Social Media
Following @Lex Christopherson message (https://www.skool.com/taches-teaches/hate-social-media-ok-so-what-are-you-doing-instead), I’m suggesting we help each other out with our social media to boost our visibility! 🙂 Let’s set a goal to create something creative on Instagram, YouTube, etc., this weekend. Who’s in? Drop your links in the comments of this post!

@Lex Christopherson That's a fantastic idea. One thing to consider is the timezone; I have difficulty joining calls because they take place at night in Europe, and my English isn’t very strong. :) Tonight, I’m staying up to catch Rick Wade’s interview, but I know it’ll be challenging at work tomorrow 😅 Still, I’m really excited about the chance to attend the interview.

Do you suffer from Loop love syndrome?
I was just wondering - do you have moments when you create a loop that you like and then leave it playing for an hour just listening to it without actually developing it further? :D It happens to me often, for example right now I'm working on a cyberpunk style track. I made a loop that "loops really well" and works nicely for me as background music, the problem is that I need to move on and actually make another section :) I just need to disconnect from it somehow - I guess ideally by pressing the stop button :P

One technique I use sometimes is setting a 10-minute timer to push myself forward on the next task in my production. It helps me avoid getting stuck. If I can't complete the task in 10 minutes, I either take a break or switch to another task and come back to it later. I like to set very short-term goals to keep myself in a creative stress that forces me to make decisions. For example: I need to finish the entire arrangement in 1 hour. This helps me focus on what’s essential and eliminate distractions (like changing the snare 50 times...)
Any software programmers here?
So ... Backup solutions... Anyone interested in this idea ... Open source solution for automated external/cloud backup of daw project, plugin presets, whatever we can think of... Multiple daws, multiple cloud storage providers, multiple backup strategies. Basic idea is to make it a no-brainer for end users to backup their music shit. Probably not including OS Anyone?

For backups, I use Carbon Copy Cloner—one disk connected via USB to my Mac and a Samba mount on my NAS. Otherwise, Dropbox or an equivalent solution does the job perfectly. The interesting part about the cloud would be real-time collaboration, which would be awesome.
Which DAW do you use primarily?
Please specify version in the comments!

I’ve been using Ableton 12 since version 6, and now I’m starting to learn Bitwig. I’m also into NI Maschine (not really a DAW, but its workflow is awesome for quickly coming up with ideas)

I’m planning on hosting a podcast episode every Thursday and we’ve already got Detroit deep house legend Rick Wade lined up for next week. Name your top 3 guests you’d like me to bring on the show and why!
