@Brad Codd just missed this :(
[Ranting] I'm struggling with Cursor... I felt really tempted to pay for Antigravity
Not sure if it's because I have set up Antigravity in a way where it will always proceed, I felt like Cursor is not as good a dev tool for a non-tech builder. Using Antigravity, I felt like I was stuck with bugs a lot less often. I was even able to sail through the set up of sign-up, saving stuff for users, via Supabase as well as going all the way to launching on Vercel by just talking to Antigravity. It also has the playground thing for me to build different expressions. It makes it easy to go back as there is literally buttons to click and choose from. Now that I'm out of credit for Antigravity, I have been stuck with my paid Cursor, which had been slow. I often had to couple it with another AI like Gemini pro to double check its work. And, Gemini has pointed out a few instances where Cursor is probably looking in the wrong place (I happend to have a screen-grab). (Although I felt Gemini is forgetful... I told it im not a coder and non-technical and have asked a few times about where to find things like AnalysisModal.tsx. Anyways... just ranting... thank you for reading. Struggle well...

@Andres Dominicci Taken your suggestion and tested first the few steps...
Are you struggling with vibe coding?
This post is inspired from @Sj Tsai https://www.skool.com/ai-for-your-business/ranting-im-struggling-with-cursor-i-felt-really-tempted-to-pay-for-antigravity I write this not to be mean, not to sound patronizing, but I write this to give perspective. We are building software. When I first started building software at 12, there were times I would be stuck on the same problem for days. It would require me to review the code line by line. Read forums, go to Reddit, make a Stack Overflow post. Then go back to that exact same problem and try again. We are talking 10+ hour days on the same problem. At some point, the eureka effect would happen, and I would solve it. But only after X amount of days working on it. I say this for you to realize that if you are getting frustrated after just one day of bad code outputs, try two weeks on the same problem. Learning compounds, so I can guarantee you, @Sj Tsai , if you stick to it, those same annoying and bad code outputs you receive now will be a walk in the park one year from now. Perspective. The same thing that would have taken me a week to code in the past, 7 days, now takes me three hours. AI is such an accelerator now that I was able to build out enterprise level software in eight weeks. 200K lines of code. Lean in now, learn the skill now.

Love the perspective, Corbin! 👊 Trust me, I’m no stranger to the grind—I can sit with a problem for as long as it takes. But I’ve realized that innovating often means stepping back to see if there’s a better workflow out there rather than just brute-forcing the wall. Huge thanks to Andres for sharing his process; it’s been a game-changer. Also, building from Hong Kong adds a unique "difficulty setting." Just getting signed up for some of these services is a mission. I think people in the States take that access for granted—kind of like the low humidity in California or finding a massive brisket in Texas. For you guys, it’s just "there"; for me, it’s a whole separate puzzle to solve before I even start coding! But like you said in your early videos, "If you can just push through the problem," you’ll find the breakthrough. Leaning in and staying grateful!
Failed to call the Gemini API: user has exceeded quota
I vibe coded for 14 hours straight yesterday before hitting the quota limit. It's pretty incredible how much free quota Google gave me as a new user. I got all the way to almost the very end of How To Build Your First App with AI - Lesson 2. So I hauled out my credit card and upgraded my subscription from "Free" to "Tier 1". Imagine my delight when I found Google added a $300 usage credit to my account and did not actually withdraw any funds from the credit card I provided. One thing I did learn is that my $40 a month Gemini 3 subscription does not apply here. Google AI Studio is part of the Google Cloud infrastructure which is billed separately based on usage. I'll monitor the consumption of my $300 credit and report back here...

@Andres Dominicci this is fantastic. The specific tech steps are great. Can’t wait to try tomorrow 🔥 Thank you so much for nudging me here.

Btw is Cursor Pro worth it? I’m disappointed about the front end it’s built me (it’s super ugly….)
Finally I launched an webapp...
After a long cycle of starting projects but never quite shipping them, it finally clicked: why not add AI to my legacy content sites? This is my first iteration: https://contactsenators.com/ I also wanted to say I’m incredibly thankful to Corbin for creating a community like this. It’s been the push I needed to break out of "input-only" mode and start balancing it with some real output. Getting this live was a journey. I went back and forth between Antigravity and Gemini, wrestled with Vercel and GitHub, ran out of credits, and pivoted back again. It wasn’t a straight line, but since the site was mostly abandoned, I figured I had nothing to lose by experimenting. This is definitely not the finish line, and I’m still refining things, but I’m happy to finally have an AI web app out in the world. I’d love any suggestions or feedback so I can take "suggestions, build, build, build"!
