🔥 Campfire Thread #6 — “The Moment I Almost Missed”
We miss more moments than we realize. Not because life isn’t happening…but because we’re not there when it does. For this week’s Campfire Thread, share: 👉 A moment you almost missed — but caught yourself and became present again. It could be: - A smile from your kid - A sunset you almost scrolled past - A meal you nearly rushed through - A conversation you almost ignored - A thought that only arrived because you were quiet - A peaceful second that surprised you Whatever it was, big or tiny — tell us the moment you almost missed, and what helped you come back to presence. Your share might help someone else notice their own moment today.

Not one specifically, but when I am overloaded with work and I'm trying to work while the kids play. I heard at one point, that your kids look at you to see if you're paying attention to them (as a form of connection even if you're not directly playing with them) a LOT in a small 20-minute window. I tested this and because it was a while ago I can't recall the exact number, but one of my kids looked for that connection with me at least 10 to 15 times. They were happily playing, but then they'd talk to me or simply look to see if I saw the amazing thing they'd just discovered or accomplished. So, now when I'm on my phone (for work or otherwise) around them, I always have this in mind to prioritize them as much as possible so they don't grow up with a mom who's always in her phone (I can work when they're in bed), and so they know they matter more than a small little device. They come before my phone. I was reminded of this just yesterday when I was on the couch reading emails while they built structures out of magnet tiles.

@Billy Punt absolutely!! When they're young, whether they're taught about God or not, we are... for lack of a better term, their God. They hang on our every word and our approval and teachings matter to them more than anything. Those teachings will grow with them as they get older and become their foundation for being productive human beings and parents themselves. Thanks for this question!
So much value in this call!
