Accepting people into your community
Any advice on how to know if a person is legit ? Everyone I get that wants to join my community seems questionable in some way and I end up not approving them. How do I know if they are legit and safe. Like this person is from the United Kingdom and follows 68 people but has not followers but yet claims to be someone who helps people build their skool communities. Show I be skeptical ? Also no profile pic Charlotte Romy @charlotte-romy-2979 Skool Community Expert I help community owners grow, boost engagement, improve structure, and build thriving communities that deliver results. I agree with Brian. She joined Sept 13 and is already a Skool expert.....right.
🏗️ What Are You Building?
Drop a quick comment below 👇 What are you building on Skool right now? Keep it simple: - "A community about ___" - "Just getting started with ___" - "Working on ___" No overthinking and don't add too much detail. Feel free to share links here too! 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸. (𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀) That’s how this gets fun (and actually useful). James & Brian

@Jeroen Jacobs Still love the post cards. Getting physical mail and updates is huge. Can go beyond just Christmas cards.

@Matt Wilson Welcome to Skool Nerds! Excited to hear some of the great things that come out of your community.
BEHOLD! The Skool-O-Matic! (my first -inator)
Every villain origin story starts the same way. Mine starts with a blank Skool post box at 4:15am. If your kids watch Phineas and Ferb, you know Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Every episode, one dramatic monologue, one ridiculous machine with "-inator" bolted on the end. The Forget-About-It-Inator. The Shrink-inator. Allow me my monologue. You see, nobody taught me the business side of running a community. I guessed at what to post. I found out members went quiet 3 weeks too late. I welcomed new people in batches, like a DMV window. AND SO, THE SKOOL-O-MATIC WAS BORN. Here's what it actually is: a free tool that turns Claude into your community assistant. You tell it what's bugging you about your community. It builds the fix WITH you, live in your browser, while you watch. Zero code. Zero technical skills. I tested it on one of my own communities yesterday. It read my last 30 posts and handed me receipts: question posts pull 4 to 5x more comments than my announcements. My best post of the week was one I almost didn't write. Some of the -inators it will happily build with you: - The Who-Went-Quiet-Inator (finds members slipping away before they're gone for good) - The Welcome-Inator (drafts a personal hello for every new member, you hit send) - The What-Should-I-Post-Inator (reads your feed and tells you what your people actually respond to) Unlike Doofenshmirtz, I did not install a self-destruct button. It just works. Here's the link: https://skool-nerds.vercel.app/go/download/skool-o-matic Drop the zip file into Claude Code and type 'Install and run this skill.' Comment with what -inators you built with it!

@Brian Walsh I created the Gratitude-inator for the Better Dads League.

@Brian Walsh So far it has helped me identify quick wins for my community members based on survey responses. I've only used it as a guide so far. Haven't asked it to "run" anything yet, though it has helped review research on gratitude for me which is pretty cool and will be useful in Trafficmaxxing.
What is the most frustrating part of trying to make money from a Skool community right now?
There has been such a shift in a lot of different communities that I'm in and I've talked with a lot of community owners, current and now former. Wanted to ask you all since we tend to nerd out on this type of stuff.

I would say it's frustrating to see what I would call the "easy-fallacy" out there. Start a community, it's easy, turn what you know into dough, it's easy, ...haha It's work, it takes focus, and you need to make offers in order to make money.
🚨Feedback - Lead Magnet
I've been working on creating a lead magnet recently. I've attached it below. Please let me know your feedback on this. TIA -James

@Constantin C. No it is before getting to Skool. It is not what is given after being in Skool. I want to make an impact on men and my community might not be the best fit so I want to give a list beforehand.
