Hello everyone👋 My name is Chanelle, I am a first time author writing a memoir. Im a domestic violence survivor, and a single mother. My memoir dives into generational trauma cycles as my mom was also a young single mother that survived domestic violence. My book is about loving someone fighting addiction, religious trauma, DV, s*xual assault, the struggles of single motherhood, and finding yourself in the healing. Im in the process of editing my first draft at 85,000 words, and adding in final touches. I would love to find critique partners, and beta readers to give me some feedback! My goal is to start the querying process by January 2026. Im so happy I found this community and Im excited to get to know you all 🙂
