Based on your knowledge and experience as a small business owner, what are the biggest mistakes beginners make as business owners/entrepreneurs?

I think one of the biggest mistakes I've made lately (I still categorize myself as a fairly new entrepreneur!) is allowing too much time to go by between opportunities/mistakes. Whether something goes well or poorly, I can tend to "hide" on the sidelines and not get back in the game quickly enough. As I look back at the last year or two, I see areas where I could be further along if I hadn't got nervous!

@Dan Koffel Me either ... honestly, I didn't love 5 dysfunctions as a book. I learned about the concept first as a presentation of the pyramid and found that to be a lot more compelling. I don't know that the book is necessary!
