Hello! As a 30 yr long piano player, worship leader, singer, and songwriter I have dabbled in music for most of my life. I have played internationally with some of the more well known Christian music artists and for some well known speakers. Music itself doesn’t intimidate me and I can play several different types of instruments, though not well, at least getting some sound out of it that resembles musicianship I tried to take up guitar when I was in my early teens but because I am left handed and the teacher was a right handed teacher I had a difficult time learning. I sold my first guitar which was a 12 string and forgot all about learning. In the last few years after becoming a youth camp director I came to the conclusion that I am limited to where and what I can play because I don’t play a stringed instrument. I had taken up ukulele as a hobby about 6 years ago and can play a little bit but want to learn guitar. Recently I was given a beautiful takimine guitar and have decided I am going to try to learn! So here we go.

I also have a three string cigar box guitar that you play with a slide. That’s fun too. And very different.

@Scott Waterman @Benjamin Cherry @Josh Holladay, and @Laurence Morey. I took piano in college. I know how to play it some, I just don’t practice is much. I mostly use it for theory. But I thought I would introduce you all and see what comes out of it… have fun! Ps: did I miss anyone?! Let me know

I am not a trained piano player. Play by ear. Tried to learn theory in school. Failed twice. Took piano in college and the first day was advanced to the next level in courses but still told there wasn’t a lot they could teach me. I passed the class with an A+. I eventually learned theory through self studying. But I still play mostly by ear.
