Glycerine - Palm muting & Barre Chords Strength Builder
First time outlining the song so wanted to record it as a before video. Next is internalizing the rhythm patterns and knowing the changes. Then comes vocals 😬 gonna share anyways when I actually submit my vocal video to another academy. Gotta break that ice. I thought I had the tone Gavin established via palm-muting & fretting like a seesaw. .but it took a while ( and still can improve ) if you can keep your power chords or rather barre chords fretted and mute and activate tone using the picking hand and palm it brings out the songs character. During this practice I wondered and is a question for the community? If you want to play say Glycerine and the sheet music shows 16ths but all down strums until the end of that chord right before the transition then up. So MUST you follow say the way the artist strums it if that tone is what defines the song? When I see 16ths I immediately alternate pick bc it feels more natural. If the goal is to sound as close to the recording for a cover song. Thx in advance!

🔟 “Ten Words” Cover by Eric Beaty
Finally finished and uploaded my cover of a song by Joe Satriani I’ve wanted to do for YEARS. It's called "Ten Words." Thanks to one of the members in GuitarZoom Academy, who did his own cover, inspiring me to finally do my own.

🍂“Autumn” Bluegrass Gospel Song
I’ve just started posting some videos of me playing in my studio while I had some time on my hands. This is one of my all-time favorite songs.

Long story … as short as possible … 🤘🏼💀🎸
This song and this Guitar mean a lot to me, the song because my Dad used to love it, he didn’t speak English but he was always amazed by the “dramatic” vocals, so I wanted to dedicate this song to Him, wherever His soul may be in the vast Universe, always present and protecting us. The Guitar means a lot because it was given to me on my first Father’s Day (2018), at that point my son was 8 months old (now he’s almost 8 y/o), and I decided to outline our 3 hands (Wife’, Son’ & Mine) at the back of the Guitar (that BTW I show at the end of the song 😁), this Guitar is the 3rd and last of my “everyday workhorses”, and the most representative. About the Guitar: Gibson Les Paul Faded T 2017 Worn Cherry, maple top and neck, mahogany back, rosewood fretboard. Neck Pickup: 490R Humbucker, Bridge Pickup: 490T Humbucker, Slim Taper Neck Profile. About the song: Standard tuning. Pretty straightforward, the Chords: G – B – C – Cm (although, I didn’t use Cm, I think I’m not experienced enough yet to fit it in the song being busy with EFX changes, but I will figure it out eventually). This song is more built “around the drum and bass” the Guitar is slightly more at the back of the arrangement to let the voice come forward, it was an interesting track to study and learn (on the guitar and the actual structure of the recording itself). The EFX: Glitz Reverb, Chorus, 60’s Bias Tremolo a Simple Delay and a Ganymede Reverb to hold or “freeze” the notes coming out of distortion into clean Guitar, this effect is not in the original track, I added it as a “personal touch transition”, BTW, this time I recorded the track to my DAW and has pretty much no editing to the original sound only a compressor for the MAINS. I hope you like the final product, I will keep sailing my way to try to master the Guitar one day. Rock & Roll! 🤘🏼💀🎸
