Other People’s ART šŸ–¤šŸ–¤šŸ–¤
I answered a question in another group just now, and this thought came about… Thought I’d bring it over here to discuss with all of you today. šŸ–¤ The šŸ’ When thinking about inspiration, can a single line or word from another piece of art inspire you to create something completely new? Yes!!! Finding inspiration in someones art is a wonderful place to start. Honoring something that touched you and stayed with you can spark a whole new idea. Books, movies, art—I am always thinking about them and looking for ideas, different ways of viewing this world. When I find something that inspires me, I immediately write it down in my notes app or scribble it in a journal, then get back to it later when I have time to write. Sometimes those perspectives vibe from conversations, sometimes published work. And then… The endurance that carries you through writing your art can be found by pouring your own lived experiences into the story. Just like Paul Coelho showed us in his book The Alchemist. Your perspective is unique. Nobody has ever lived your exact life, and by drawing from those hard painful and lived experiences and feelings, we can create strong emotion in our stories. That emotion becomes relatable for the reader and memorable in your work. šŸ–¤ What are your thoughts???

So good 😊
Have you read The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho
I fully know this post was written by Ai, but the book wasn’t… The author of The Alchemist Paul Coelho endured a whole lot to bring his dream to fruition. Including parents whom committed him to mental institutions 3 times to endure electroshock therapy amount other ā€œtreatmentsā€ all because he had a wild dream. A freedom we enjoy everyday in the group, writing šŸ–¤ Can you imagine that? But the outcome of all that pain = he had something to say. He poured his whole journey into his novel and what became was something unique. ā€œThere is a line in that book that Paulo clearly lived before he ever wrote it: ""When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."" He did not just write those words. He earned them. Whatever you are carrying right now, the doubt, the closed doors, the voices that said you were not enough, remember this: the world has been wrong about people like you before. Keep going. Your story is not finished yet.ā€ Read the post here ā¬‡ļø https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1452172363609447&set=a.597461792413846&type=3&mibextid=wwXIfr
Just A Dream
I have had dreams recently about relapsing, going back to prison. Her. Nothing worse than those few seconds when you’re not quite awake and the dream seems real. This song is about that. Feedback welcome. [Just a Dream] [Verse 1] Went to sleep with whiskey on my breath Trying to drink away a hope that’s dead Hating what got lost Still wanting what we was I closed my eyes and drifted away My mind took me back to yesterday You were right where you belonged And for a while all the bad was gone [Pre-Chorus] You smiled like nothing had changed Like time had washed away The hurt and damage done In a moment it was gone [Chorus] Just a dream of you and me Just a dream was all we’d need Forever lived and breathed In everything you said to me And every part of me And all that we could be Lived and died between Every moment of just a dream [Verse 2] Inside your smile the world was right Our future was never denied And you were mine again We never saw the end We built a life for us And forgot what never was You stayed by my side And forever never died [Pre-Chorus 2] Then the walls begin to twist I saw what I had missed Your smile began to fade And daylight took your place [Chorus 2] Just a dream of you and me Just a dream was all we’d need Forever lived and breathed In everything you said to me And every part of me And all that we could be But things aren’t what they seem And I woke to just a dream [Bridge] Morning light, an empty bed An empty place where you once lived The room was just as it was But you were gone, there was no us [Final Chorus] Just a dream is all that’s left Of the hope we once shared Forever lived then died The moment you said goodbye Every part of what we had Got lost in all the bad And what we were is lost to me Now gone with just a dream [Outro] Went to sleep with whiskey on my breath Every night since you left Written by Jason A Hearrell 06/12/2026

She Loves Me Not
I asked @Nikki J if she didn’t mind me using her line, unexpected abundance, (love this line) she said yes. This is what I put to it. This idea has been floating around my head for a couple days. After I finished Just A Dream, I just kept on writing. She Loves Me Not An unexpected abundance of petals At my feet For a love that was left incomplete Like we were incompatible Then I became forgettable You made it so practical Like losing me was rational Like I only brought you down So you turned and then walked out [Pre-Chorus] So I find another flower Hoping it has the power To somehow change your mind But life is not so kind [Chorus] She loves me She loves me not Pull another petal from the top But every time I stop It’s not the answer that I want She loves me… She loves me not [Verse 2] An unexplainable avoidance As another petal falls You’re not here And that says it all Like leaving was tactical My pain became collateral The petals became habitual Every pull became ritual Another flower thrown away And the answer stays the same [Pre-Chorus] So I find another flower Knowing it don’t have the power To somehow change your mind Still I stand here wasting mine [Chorus] She loves me She loves me not Pull another petal from the top But every time I stop It’s not the answer that I want She loves me… She loves me not [Bridge] An empty flower bed Nothing left for me to pick Every blossom is gone Now that you’ve moved on [Chorus] She loves me She loves me not Pull another petal from the top But every time I stop It’s not the answer that I want She loves me… She loves me not Written by Jason A Hearrell 06/13/2026 oops thought today was the 12th 😳 Here’s my two favorite versions.
