For example, when checking a clock twice that reads erratic time jumps in a dream, it allows them to recognize if they are dreaming. But what is really tricky is how to tell if what you are perceiving is real when you are awake. Are you dreaming, experiencing a divinely orchestrated reality, or are you in a simulation?
