Helping a Client Keep His Health on Track
Last week, I had a client who had just found out that he lost his Medicaid and was worried he wouldnโt be able to afford the 19 medications he needs. I took the time to walk him through his options and found an Aetna plan that would cover all of his meds. I also explained to him that staying on his prescriptions was way more important than worrying about other benefits like over-the-counter stuff he would be losing. I can always put him back in the same plan once he gets his Medicaid back. Right now His health was the top priority. He was so relieved, and then he said something that really stuck with me โYou have the same name as my mom.โ It really touched me, and I could tell it made him feel a lot better knowing someone was looking out for him. It was one of those moments that reminded me why I do this job. Helping people through tough situations, giving them real solutions, and making that personal connection is what makes this work so rewarding.
