Free tool to turn text into visuals
Hi everyone! I just learned about napkin.ai today from one of Patrice Moore's posts. It'sa tool that can turn text into visuals and it's free! Thought I'd share if it helps anyone!

I will check it out, thank you!

@Ioni Papadakis I tried it out but it wasn't for an actual project so I didn't save it, sorry! I think it is very cool, though. It gives you SO MANY options for each graphic. That is fabulous!
First AI Video
I completed this for my Week 2 homework for the AI task. It's not perfect by any means but I did get it done. Baby steps! I think I will do the sound separately. Dzine has a built in sound prompt but it is rather clunky. The very first scene has sound effects produced on Eleven Labs - you can likely hear the difference.

@Heeraj Bulluck I'm learning another method in a different group where they start with a script. Then the voiceovers (if needed), then music and sound effects and the visuals last. It would be confusing if I were not super interested in it. That group is more focused on AI ads so the differing method makes sense. I am in the voiceover stage with my first project there and will share when it gets to a point that there is something to share. That group uses Kling a lot. Dzine just added Kling. The difference with Kling (and possibly other models - it changes SO fast) is that you can use a beginning image and an ending image and then Kling animates from the first to the second. I could have used that with this project. Several times I had a great ending image but couldn't get it animated right. I ended up chopping up the clips into bits to get it done. Especially when she is changing from debutante to boy disguise, that is why it is so quick and chopping. I may revisit this project again to do it better. Everyone really loved the images. I'd like the animation to be as good.

@Ed McClements I would be happy to share - I am having a grand time. I'm actually delighted that I enjoy the work like I thought I might.

I learn best when I need the new skill for my own project.
Use Case for ChatGPT
I needed to create an excel spreadsheet to keep track of our supplements so I know what to order and when. I have some experience with spreadsheets but I didn't know what formula to use for the main action of the form. Here is what I said to ChatGPT: "I need to make an excel spreadsheet for supplments where I can list the supplement, tell how many pills the current container includes, the serving size per day, the date the container is opened and then the date it will be used up. Is there a formula I can use in Excel that would accomplish that task?"

I could have just used the formulas but it is a busy week so I took the offer to create the spreadsheet for me!

Anyone is welcome to use the spreadsheet if you would find it helpful. This was a more simple example than I expected. Sometimes I have to go back and forth and add more information. Generally the more info and details I provide, the better answers and help I receive. That is right up until it says it can do something that it really can't so you have to have that in the back of your mind. 😀
Midjourney
AI tools can be quite different even if it looks like they do the same thing. If you want an AI image tool that will reproduce a realistic image that is exactly as you describe, then Midjourney is not the tool to use! But if you have an idea and want some help bringing it to life and you don't mind creative iterations, Midjourney might be your jam! I wanted to create an image for a Facebook weightloss group. Here is the prompt that I used: "heavyset traditional woman with shoulder length brown hair and eyeglasses weighing herself on an old fashioned scale and being surprised that she is enjoying herself. Comic fun style character focused with just a hint of a kitchen background" I am not a prompt expert - this is to show you how very different tools can be, not teach how to do prompts. The first two images are from Ideogram. The second two are from Midjourney. The Ideogram images are "truer" to the prompts but I liked the creative Midjourney images more. I went on to animate one of the Midjourney images and I will include one of those examples as well.

@William Furlow I've mostly been experimenting so far so I am not especially looking for something specific at the moment. The class I am starting tomorrow is using dzine.ai and I think it can do all kinds of things.

@Ioni Papadakis Yes it can be amazing. I tell people who haven't tried it - you will be amazed at what it can do and then you will be amazed at what it cannot do!
