Day 9, Part A - Creator Breakthrough Series (How to Film With Confidence (Even If You're Awkward))
OMG! It's not good being stuck! I spent way too much time on Day 8-Scripting! Just saying! And now, Day 9... Okay, so I completed Day 9, watched the video three times and the last time I paused it and took detailed notes. I felt the slightest cringe when I knew I needed to record a video, even though it was only 30 seconds. Like, OMG, "I'm-going-to-be-on-stage" type of fright" (even though I have spoken on stages many times before); or my hairdo is not they way I want it; or I don't have any gift baskets made (although, I actually have 5 gift baskets already made and ready to sell). I wanted to do something else like jump ahead to some other days in the challenge or go back and work on Day 8 scripting. But I didn't. I listed my 5 steps, decided what I was going to practice for my 30 second video, plan my background and my presence, and move on. And I did just that. (Side Note: And why am I dreading the day that this challenge will cause me to record a full long-form video! Well, I have my accountability cheering team below to push me along) I interrupt this Day 9 of the Challenge to share this happening... I will practiced for 2 days. My plan was to have it submitted by today, but yesterday was an extreme interruption: I had a regularly scheduled client, then after completing my work with them for the day, I received an urgent call for a new client! My husband and I prepared for that client and while traveling to their location, I (we) witnessed a debilitating rollover car accident at a very high speed. Yes, I was shook up over it, maybe even a little PTSD. I meditated, prayed, used my private prayer language, and rested for only 4 hours because I had to be back at 7:00am this morning to finalize the service of my previous client. Still replaying this accident in my head, I decided to play some Gospel music and...Release! The songs and tunes were feeding my soul. My spirit was free. I carried on with my day today and will add more days to my 30 second practice. So this Day 9 will have a Part B to it.

So hard is it at first? You got it though!
Day 9, Part B (& Long) - Creator Breakthrough Series (How to Film With Confidence (Even If You're Awkward))
Oh No! Y'all are leaving me behind. No worries, I will catch up! I got distracted in my "recovery" and started planning an opt-in for my channel. My hosting checkout app was having problems so I switched to one that I am used to working and it was sooo much faster. I decided to leave that alone and get back to my other work and this challenge. I have to say, the distraction was good because I kept working. But then, I wanted a particular hairstyle for this 30 second video. I wanted to color the grey. Why didn't I think, I could always do another 30 video with the hairstyle I wanted. (Oh the self-perfection drama!) Update on the Taxes: Second one 95% done, Third on 30% done. I have time for the 3rd one so it will wait. I'm not getting FOMO, but I will catch up! Update on the Recovery: Yesterday (7 days later), I had to drive myself past that same accident scene. I did everything not to relive the horror I saw a week ago but the emotional shock started rising up. I breathed, sucked on 2 mints, blasted Pandora with Gospel Music, and thought about your collective prayer wishes (which helped!)—all while driving past this area. In a few seconds, it was behind me. The Lesson: Sometimes you must go through the painful horror to get to the other side. What I didn't share in my last post (Day 9, Part A) was that I was in a rollover accident myself, so the memories crept in later as I recovered from the shock last week. I am fine today and the next time I need to travel that area, it will be even better. Now, about Part B of My Day 9 (attached): I watched the video 5 times and made notes in my workbook (see it attached). I created a quick cheat sheet too. OMG, my 30-second video assignment turned into a 6-minute, 14-second video that I edited down to 2 minutes, 12 seconds, then 1 minute, 53 seconds, and now 1 minute, 46 seconds. I worked on it for 3 hours! I decided to stop there. That's still too long. I'm being a perfectionist again! I know I wasn't supposed to edit the video (I think), but I did. I discovered something--I am too wordy!

I want to build my channel around “They told us college was the only path. They were wrong. I’ve spent 30 years watching tradesmen out-earn degrees.”“If you want to be a doctor, nurse, engineer, lawyer — absolutely go to college. But if you’re getting a $120k communications degree hoping something works out — think again.” I only have 11 subscribers but hoping i can get my life lessons out there to be different, be a rebel, go against the grain to be successful in life

Wishing you every success Ron. I think your channel could attract a lot of interest.
Day 4 (Restarted) - Creator Breakthrough Series (Your Channel's First Impression: Banner, About & Layout)
Well, I spend 2 days on this one. Two weeks ago, I ordered the logo which I shared here in a previous post as a poll. This one, for me, was a LOT of Work! I did it and got it all done. Yesterday and Today, I spend 10 hours getting it all together: the About Section, Banner Creation, Opt-in, and more. The banner actually has my picture on it, but can only be seen on a TV for now. I will fix that later. But I did attach the entire banner, see the 3rd screenshot. (I keep hearing Alexa say scrappy is better than not at all.) My playlists are created but I don't have access yet to upload them on my channel. Here is some screenshots of what I have completed so far. I will add other links later and update the section. But for now, this is it. So..., Day 4 is DONE! Accountability Tags: @Yvette Bowlin, @Jenny Sharratt, @Dajana K., @Michael LeJeune

Which thumbnail would you click?
I just finished my first video for a new channel. The title is "The HARSH TRUTH About Aging Alone (And How YOU Need To PREPARE NOW)". Which thumbnail would you click?

Is your channel going to be all AI or is it just the thumbnail that you are using AI for ? If you are doing a personal talking head video could you take photographs of yourself (use a cut out) and do the thumbnail background from a screenshot in the video. There are many AI generated thumbnails in this target niche so I would struggle to pick any of them.
